In a heated debate between Alvin Bragg, a district attorney from New York City, and Jim Jordan, a Republican representative from Ohio, the former took the latter to task for his criticism of NYC's crime rates. In a perfect retort, Bragg cited the crime statistics of Ohio cities which far outstrip New York City's - a point that clearly seemed to catch Jordan off guard. It was truly a battle of wits with Bragg as the undeniable victor.

Columbus, which has a population of approximately 907,000 people, closed out 2022 with 140 murders, according to The Columbus Dispatch, or 15.4 murders per 100,000 citizens. New York City, which has a population of roughly 8.4 million, closed out 2022 with 433 murders, the Wall Street Journal reported, for a murder rate of 5.2 murders per 100,000 citizens.

LOL. Yes, let's take any city in Ohio and compare the number of violent acts to New York City.

Speaking of BURN! :abgg2q.jpg:

Which goes to show his stupidity. All of our crime ridden cities are ran by Democrats that Jordan has no control over; he's a Congressman. Fat Alvin on the other hand IS responsible for what goes on in his city and he is part of the reason for the increasing crime there.

Do you understand that bragg has been dropping felonies down to misdemeanors...you dope.

And the mayor of Columbus is a democrat.......of course...

Bragg gave you murder rate statistics. Are you saying that Alvin Bragg has been dropping murder as misdemeanors?

Maybe not murders but certainly other violent crimes. And out of the felonies he does prosecute he loses the cases nearly half the time. The guy is just a total failure.

There's far more to a cities' 'crime rate' than murders.

What do you mean "maybe" not murders? Yes or no?
you are going to show me proof that murders have been downgraded to misdemeanors. And then you're going to tell me which felonies have been downgraded to misdemeanors. Typing shit up in a message board is not a source. You're going to come up with evidence for your claims.

Conservatives: "let's not waste our time pretending people getting killed is a problem. Let's talk about prostitutes giving illegal blowjobs and not being charged with a felony".

Liberals: rapes, robberies, burglaries, aggravated assaults, carjackings, etc. don't count in OUR cities as long as there are more murders in YOUR city.

Soft-on-crime Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has downgraded more than half his felony cases to misdemeanors — while also managing to lose half of the felony cases that do reach court.

Since taking office on Jan. 1, Bragg has downgraded 52% of felony cases to misdemeanors — compared to 39% in all of 2019. Between 2013 and 2020, under District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., the percentage of cases the office downgraded had never exceeded 40%, according to data made public by the DA’s office.

More lying by you. It's about people being assaulted on subways, harassed when walking to work, having their cars broken into.

And then you have the indirect issues. Stores shutting down due to rampant crime. Having to wait 10 minutes to buy fucking razor blades because they are all behind 2 layers of plexiglass and you need a sales associate to open the casing up. Knowing the guy who just stole your kid's bike from your yard is going to be back out on the street again in 24 hours or less to do it again.

Bragg thinks the criminals are just as much victims as the real victims are. That isn't the role of a prosecutor.

I wouldn't believe Bragg. Democrats lie as natural as breathing.

It costs money to house criminals. Democrats would rather have the money allocated for jailing criminals in their own wallets.
