I saw this some months ago and felt the artist was very clever and the statement he made was very true.

Russia never liberated the countries it entered during WWII. Instead they installed puppet governments and put up the "iron curtain".

The propaganda of the USSR claiming that it was a worker's paradise and similar nonsense, is very much what the Bulgarian artist depicted in his painting over the WWII Soviet monument.
