Brussel Sprouts..Just Nasty Little Cabbages?

Roasted sprouts are delish!
 
Boiled and stir fried with onions and bacon----mmmmmmmmmmmm

Well....Bacon Makes Everything Mo Bettah. :)

My sister does a fabulous version:

Sautee in chicken broth and garlic until tender. Once the broth has evaporated off, add olive oil to carmelize the sprouts and garlic. Toss with some toasted pine nuts and grated parmesan.

It's incredibly rich - but so yummy!
 
Just boiled tender , drained and butter, salt and pepper is good enough for me.
Healthy as hell too.
 
I prefer steaming - it's a better method to preserve the nutrients in the vegetables.
 
Imagine if we separated everyone in to two countries...those that eat Brussels sprouts and those that don't....

Man O Man...Your country would fuckin STINK!!!!

I will eat a few but they are not my favorite. I tend to pluck out the smallest ones. Hub usually makes them with lemon and butter.
 
i am all about the roasted sprouts....love em....but they do get bitter if not cooked right
 
now a bitter veggie is rutabaga, its disgusting.
