This was a flicker of health, out of the community.

This is actually a salient point in general. If people begin to feel that courts are failing them and not living up to their responsibilities, they will eventually take things into own hands. Whether we agree or not isn't the issue though. The issue is when the justice system lets criminal behavior get by with a slap on the wrist. We can't be surprised if people start acting on their own. That's why it's important to hold them accountable while in court.
