The findings confirm the leading role of the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency in financing and conducting military biological research on the territory of Ukraine.
The details of the UP-4 project, which was implemented with the participation of laboratories in Kiev, Kharkov, Odessa, and which was planned for the period until 2020, have become known.
The aim was to study the possibilities of the spread of especially dangerous infections via migratory birds, including highly pathogenic influenza H5N1, which has a mortality rate of 50% for humans, as well as Newcastle disease.
Due to the fact that Ukraine has a unique geographical location, where the transcontinental routes of birds crossing, within the framework of this project 145 species were studied. In this case, at least two species of migratory birds were identified, whose routes pass mainly through the territory of Russia.
At the same time, information on bird migration routes through Eastern Europe was also summarized.
Of all the ways to destabilize the epidemiological situation developed in the United States, this is one of the most reckless and irresponsible, as it does not allow to control the further development of the situation.
This is confirmed by the course of the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection, the emergence and characteristics of which raise many questions.
In addition, the P-721 project is of interest, where bats are considered as vectors of potential biological weapons agents.
Among the priorities is the study of bacterial and viral pathogens capable of being transmitted from bats to humans: plague, leptospirosis, and brucellosis pathogens as well as coronaviruses and viruses.
It is noteworthy that research is being carried out in the immediate vicinity of Russia's borders - the Black Sea coast and the Caucasus
.
The project is implemented with the involvement of not only Ukrainian, but also a Pentagon-controlled Georgian laboratory in cooperation with the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and the U.S. Geological Survey.
The analyzed materials of the UP-8 project aimed at the study of Congo-Crimean hemorrhagic fever virus and Hanta viruses in Ukraine clearly refute the US public claim that the Pentagon bio-laboratories in Ukraine work exclusively with Ukrainian scientists without the intervention of American biologists.
One of the documents confirms that all serious high-risk research is conducted under the direct supervision of US specialists.
... ....The fact of payments by the US Department of Defense for participation in the research directly, without intermediaries is confirmed
...Also found evidence of the continuation of completed biological projects UP-2, UP-9, UP-10 to study anthrax pathogens, and African swine fever.
The Pentagon is also interested in insect vectors capable of spreading dangerous infectious diseases.
The analysis of the obtained materials confirms the transfer of more than 140 containers with ectoparasites of bats - fleas and ticks - from the biological laboratory in Kharkiv to foreign countries.
Characteristically, similar research was carried out in the 1940s during the creation of biological weapons components by the Japanese Unit 731, whose members subsequently fled to the United States from prosecution for war crime...
