FORT LEE, N.J. — The daughter of a 91-year-old woman from Fort Lee, N.J., who died on the day of a major traffic jam precipitated by top aides to Gov. Chris Christie said on Thursday that she did not believe the inability of an ambulance to reach her mother’s house was a factor in her death.

“I honestly believe it was just her time,” said Vilma Oleri, whose mother, Florence Genova, died on the morning of Sept. 9, the first day that the closing of local lanes leading to the George Washington Bridge set off the snarls.

It took a Fort Lee E.M.S. crew seven minutes to reach Ms. Genova, after they were detoured away from the traffic accident

“We believe she died in her home, but they couldn’t pronounce her until she got to the hospital,” said Ms. Oleri’s husband, Frank Oleri. “The traffic didn’t make any difference.”

Benghazi isn't a scandal. It was an attack on our diplomats, like the many that took place under the Bush War Monkey too, but followed by zero GOP congressional hearings into them.

It was an attack in which O did nothing. And then there's the IRS and F and F scandals. With O, there are several to choose from.

It was over before anyone could have done anything. Again, the attacks on our diplomats during the Bush War Monkey years were outrageous too. Why didn't they get the same treatment?

Benghazi, however, belongs solely to Clinton and Obama. They did not want to admit a terrorist attack just before the elections. So they let americans die and then lied for months about why it happened.

With the Christie scandal we have hard, documented evidence the governor’s office was responsible for the bridge being closed for purely partisan reasons.

With Benghazi there is no evidence whatsoever the president was involved in a ‘cover up,’ primarily because there was nothing to ‘cover up.’

Benghazi has always been a phony ‘scandal’ contrived by the right; and their attempt to compare the two is clearly an effort to deflect attention from the fact that their only viable candidate for 2016 may not even run as a consequence of the scandal.
