Palestinian ghetto.

Ramallah is undoubtedly an excellent base from which to explore the West Bank, but its own sites should not be overlooked. The city centre around al Manara square is perfect for people-watching from a coffee shop window, and the market is a lively and fascinating experience. A few minutes walk is the trendy downtown area known as ‘Tahta’, where various bars and restaurants can be found.

Yasser Arafat’s mausoleum is open for tourists to visit, and the guards will happily allow you in to take pictures of the smart but not over-elaborate compound.

The memorial site of beloved poet Mahmoud Darwish, opened in 2004, is an excellent attraction tucked away in the suburbs.

The Complex, with its Darwish museum, auditorium and exhibition rooms, is a source of pride for the locals. Darwish was a Palestinian poet and author who won numerous awards and was widely regarded as the Palestinian national poet.

Elsewhere, there are several Turkish baths dotted throughout Ramallah and Al Bireh for anyone in need of some relaxation.

When that’s done with, head to one of the city’s lively evening venues: Radio often has live bands, the Snobar is a cult favourite with its open-air pool and the likes of Orjuwan and La Vie are always popular too. Special mention must also go to La Grotta, a cosy, lovable bar which becomes a second home for the majority of foreigners either living or traveling in Ramallah.

This is Nadine Awad, a 16-year-old Israeli Arab, who was killed together with her father, Khalil, after a rocket from Gaza landed on their home in Israel.
Hamas terror doesn’t distinguish between Arabs and Jews.
May her memory be a blessing.

  • Last year, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei admitted for the first time that his country was supplying the Palestinian terrorist groups with weapons...."Iran realized Palestinian fighters' only problem was lack of access to weapons" — Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,
  • The [earlier] denial exposes the extent of Iran's scheme to deceive the international community not only regarding its supply of weapons to the Palestinian terrorist groups, but also concerning its plan to acquire a nuclear bomb and bolster its production of nuclear material.
  • Iran... repeatedly violated the terms of the [2015 JCPOA] nuclear deal, according to the UN's nuclear monitoring Atomic Energy Agency.
  • Were it not for Iran's financial and military aid, the Palestinian terrorist groups would not have been able to attack Israel with thousands of rockets and missiles.
  • In the past, Iran used its proxy in Lebanon, Hezbollah, to attack Israel. Iran is now using its Palestinian proxies to achieve its goal of eliminating Israel and killing Jews. This is a war not only between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist groups. Rather, it is a war waged by Iran against Israel.
  • The Western powers that are currently negotiating with Iran about the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal are emboldening the mullahs and allowing them to continue their war of "kill[ing] all the Jews."

Thank you Mortimer.

Since 1948 the day of the creation of Israel things have been going on over there.

They know how to defend themselves. Trust me.
Yes, it will be the poor innocent women and children that will pay in blood as their tower block dwellings in places like Ramallah get ripped apart by Israeli rockets, but like all good caring fascist's the Israeli's will announce to the world they did give a one-minute warning.
They shouldn't give any warning. You don't want Israel firing rockets at you then don't fire them at Israel. If your incapable of stopping Hamas from iniciating combat you can't bitch if Israel gets violent in return.
What is Hamas trying to gain by firing those rockets? Think they can conquer Israel with their rockets, and if not why do it at all? I don't understand why Israel allow them to live. If Hamas cared about their people they wouldn't be starting something and not expecting return fire. What is not fair is Hamas doesn't form an army and come out so we know who to kill forcing us to kill everyone to get to them. Blame Hamas for this not Israel.
Hamas is not firing the rockets. It's just kids with nothing else to do, no jobs, no future. Israel may have a right to exist but it doesn't have the right to exist in Palestine. The British had no right to allow tens of thousands of Jews trying to escape Europe after the Holocaust to flood into Palestine, steal the land from the Palestinians and start building walls to keep them out of their own land that was theirs for thousands of years. Despite the UN issuing more resolutions against Israel than any other country, no sanctions have ever been imposed, mainly because the US always vetoes any such intentions. Does the US taxpayer really know how much of their taxes go to support Israel?

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. "Hamas not firing the rockets, those are kids"... I don't know where you get your information from or why you pretend to understand any of this, but you need to study some more.

Does the US taxpayer know how much of their money goes to fun international terrorism? you invest in countries and areas you know jack about, yet you believe you own the earth.

There has never been a country called Palestine.
The land was stolen no matter its name.

Lands get "stolen" and "occupied" all throughout history. Men had the capacity to move on and find other places to inhabit. It's the cost of surviving in this world. Yet those are only the palestinians that keep the raterded fantasy of throwing all the Jews to the sea, all while they can take use of their time to develop themselves and be less of a zealous herd.

are you actually calling Israel fascist you ignorant piece of crap !
All it wants is dead Jews. It supports the action -- namely the attempt by the organization that lists the objective "kill Jews wherever they are found" to do just that -- so the thing tries to portray the reaction to these attempts as the real problem.

All these sick subhumans play the same game in that regard. They support Hamas' genocidal objective and all their rhetoric is tailored towards that objective by inverting reality in such a way that RESISTING genocide is evil, not the attempts to engage in it. .

It’s one of the most fundamental principles of the system of private property: Tenants must pay rent, or face eviction. That is the case here in the U.S. just as it is in Israel. Yet, this basic piece of common sense is lost in most of the reporting on the current situation in Sheikh Jarrah, also known as Shimon HaTzadik. The issue is essentially a private property dispute, that has been politicized to forward an anti-Israel narrative, and is being manipulated on an international scale.

The Times of Israel quotes one of the residents who is at risk of eviction, Abdelfattah Eskafi, admitting that he has not paid rent on his property, and that his non-payment is for ideological, not financial, reasons. “We can’t accept such a thing, although of course we know it’s a risk,” Eskafi told Times of Israel.

The Times of Israel further reports that just a few days earlier, the Palestinian Arabs at risk of eviction were offered a compromise of remaining on the property as long as they paid rent, but they “again declined, saying they do not recognize the right of the Jewish Israelis over their homes.”

^ In the same May 10 report, Yingst noted, “we were just on the Al Aqsa Mosque compound where Israeli police has stormed in earlier, throwing tear gas and stun grenades. The manager of the Al Aqsa Mosque spoke exclusively with FOX news, calling what Israel did this morning, ‘a barbaric act.’ Hamas echoed those calls.”

Yet, Yingst failed to explain that, as Times of Israel reports, “the Israel Police said rioters had been hurling rocks and other objects from the holy site and launching fireworks at officers, leading them to enter the compound, a relatively uncommon move by Israeli security forces.”

I see the UN is now crying out for both sides to cease fire. Too bad the UN was silent while hamas was launching rockets at Israeli civilians.
