End of story. A reasonable person would have hit the brakes when they saw someone in front of their car. She didn't, she hit the gas. Seeing such action, the ICE agent had no choice but to assume she intended him or someone else harm.

Watch the video again. There is absolutely no reason for her to back up other than to try and prevent the ICE agent from opening her driver's side door.

The reason for her to back up is to get space and maneuver around the agent standing in front of her car.

Trying to run people over is more of a right wing tactic.

I'm speculating where her attention is based on the video. Why would she be looking towards the officer on her right when it's the 2 officers on the left that she was currently engaging with. I mean, I guess if any kind of federal agent steps out onto a road, then any cars would be accelerating towards them....that would probably be enough justification for you guys in any situation.

She was clearly trying to escape. Do you truly believe that her actions of reversing before turning her wheel to the right was so that she could try to run over the ICE agent to her right? It clearly looks as though her actions were done with the intention of driving off down that road away from the ICE agents.

She was ordered out of her car and should not be trying to escape. It was a good shoot.

I agree, but (unpopular opinion) I really don't think this is a partisan thing. If a D was in power, I think we'd be seeing the same growing authoritarianism and trigger-happy jackboots. I think it's just the direction this country is going in. And it's almost certainly going to get worse... no matter who is in office, imo.
