According to a Truth Social post minutes ago, President Trump indicated that after a "very productive meeting" with NATO leader Mark Rutte, that he has reached a "framework of a future deal" for the island, currently a semi autonomous zone of Denmark.
Further, as a result, he stated he would not be imposing tariffs on the eight EU countries he saw as an impediment to the deal, slated for February 1st.
This is not a deal set in stone. Just a potential deal. Keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that Trump has accomplished more towards gaining the territory than any President in the past 150+ years.
So now all the knee-jerk leftwing reactions calling Trump "insane" and "imperialistic" we be apologized for, right?
These people go for every feint, every seemingly outlandish demand. They don't understand how the top negotiator in the world works.
And see who always wins in the end. Donald J. Trump and the American people.
Stupid people say stupid stuff like "Trump wants Greenland for himself as a trophy" or "This is a vanity project for himself." He sees the security situation in Greenland, sees the increasing presence of China in the arctic. Trump is slowly convincing Europe that it's in their best interest for the US to control the arctic, and not Russia or China. I'll say it again. Trump is one of one. He is perhaps the greatest president in American history. We are SO lucky to have him. He's a visionary far above his time, and in many ways is the only adult in the room. In time, more and more people will understand that.
