CONFIRMED: President Trump Commutes Sentence of Roger Stone – “Roger Stone Is Now a Free Man”…

Posted on July 10, 2020 by sundance

Excerpt:

This evening a Washington DC appeals court denied an emergency request from Roger Stone to delay the start of his 40-month prison term for bragging to congress. The court said Stone had not proved he was in particular danger of catching COVID-19 in prison.

The court decision assured that Mr. Stone would have to surrender to federal correctional offices in Georgia. However, the White House is now confirming that President Trump has contacted Mr. Stone to notify him his sentence has been commuted.

WHITE HOUSE – Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Grant of Clemency commuting the unjust sentence of Roger Stone, Jr.
Roger Stone is a victim of the Russia Hoax that the Left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine the Trump Presidency.
There was never any collusion between the Trump Campaign, or the Trump Administration, with Russia. Such collusion was never anything other than a fantasy of partisans unable to accept the result of the 2016 election. The collusion delusion spawned endless and farcical investigations, conducted at great taxpayer expense, looking for evidence that did not exist.
As it became clear that these witch hunts would never bear fruit, the Special Counsel’s Office resorted to process-based charges leveled at high-profile people in an attempt to manufacture the false impression of criminality lurking below the surface. These charges were the product of recklessness borne of frustration and malice.
This is why the out-of-control Mueller prosecutors, desperate for splashy headlines to compensate for a failed investigation, set their sights on Mr. Stone.

Trump needs to pardon Flynn ASAP.
Both Flynn and Stone were victims of the Mueller witch hunt trying to get something, anything, on Trump.
Stone's jury was rigged, and the FBI setup a perjury trap on Flynn.

The man of lawlessness sits in the oval office! :eek-52:
What's illegal about commuting the sentence of a 76 year old?
In case you forgot who was "lawless:
Trump's 1st term was a miracle in itself, the biggest upset in election history. Obama used the power of the DOJ, FBI, CIA and other Federal agencies to illegally spy on and setup Trump for failure. Operations Crossfire Hurricane and Razor, the Mueller Investigation, Russian Collusion Hoax, the Steele Dossier, the MSM's constant 95% negative coverage and "fake news", Never-Trump Republicans, the Lincoln Project, globalists of every stripe, the entrenched Deep State who all oppose Trump's policies, the deep state leakers and whistle-blowers, and the RINOs who'd rather shill for K-Street than work for main street. Then add to all of that the outright hatred shown by the House democrats toward Trump, to the point of "non-crime" Impeachment Articles.

Barr and Durham better start the real indictments soon, or they won't matter.

Nothing illegal about commuting the sentence, just immoral and contrary to rule of law or more correctly, the intent of rule of law. Nobody cares how he believe supporting trump over law. Law is the more important virtue. A jury of his peers found him guilty on 8 counts, mostly felonies, committed in support of trump and a direct assault on the rule of law. Trump cannot survive under rule of law. People who help thwart the rule of law are the only allies he has. We all knew he would get Stone out, we just thought it would be after election. He called the ball. Tearing down rule of law for his crooked friends more important the being president. Get the crooked bastard out of office in November. Nothing worse than an openly crooked president. He and his entire nepotistic family gotta go, along with most of the people he has appointed.

One of the reasons I was so disappointed in the Democrats running for President this time. Not one talked about getting rid of this moronic pardon system.

Does that mean you don't agree with President Clinton's pardon of terrorist Susan Rosenburg 58 year sentence after serving 16 years of it in prison?

Snicker...................

Trump’s commutation of Stone’s sentence horrifies the left
By Andrea Widburg
July 11, 2020

Excerpt:

On Friday, President Trump commuted Roger Stone’s sentence on the ground that Stone was an unfortunate victim of the Democrats’ Russia hoax. Democrats and other leftists responded with the usual outrage.

This outrage seems absurd when one considers the recent report that one of the leading Black Lives Matter fundraisers is Susan Rosenberg, a convicted domestic terrorist who was once on the FBI’s most-wanted list. Rosenberg is relevant to a discussion about Stone because Bill Clinton, on the last day of his presidency, commuted her 58-year-prison sentence after only 16 years.

Roger Stone, 67, was tried for the crime of being a rather obnoxious Trump supporter who made theatrical threats at someone who didn’t take them seriously and made statements to Congress that were deemed false. The FBI, which is even more obnoxious, armed itself to the teeth and made a dawn raid to arrest this aged, non-violent offender. Worse, someone in the FBI tipped off CNN about the raid.

Here is the king of Pardons.

List of people pardoned by Bill Clinton

Excerpt:

The following is a list of people pardoned by Bill Clinton.[1] As President, Clinton used his power under the U.S. Constitution to grant pardons and clemency to 456 people, thus commuting the sentences of those already convicted of a crime, and obviating a trial for those not yet convicted. On January 20, 2001, he pardoned 140 people in the final hours of his presidency.[2]

This list is a subset of the List of people pardoned or granted clemency by the President of the United States.

Who?

What I think should happen is that you take 3 SCOTUS justices on a Rotating basis and let them make the decisions on pardons.

It is legal, but badly abused by some Presidents.

Clinton was by far the worst offender since so many he pardoned were his own friends, associates and party members.
