I always suspected the global deluge was the result of a meteor impact in the Indian Ocean, the Burckle crater which lies under 12,000 feet of water and is 25 times the size of meteor crater in Arizona dated to the approximate time of the story of Gilgamesh, which would have instantly vaporized billions of metric tons of water into the atmosphere causing a mind boggling worldwide deluge that would have lasted for weeks not to mention the mega tsunamis that would have swept away coastal civilizations and flooding from superstorms wiping out every city town and village situated near rivers streams and even dry washes in the deserts on every continent.

I also always suspected the only way that the atmosphere itself would be on fire as predicted in the prophecy about the next time the world would be destroyed, would be from a larger sized meteor impacting on the land.

Carbon dating is for things that were alive. They use relative and absolute dating for things like rock.

Radiocarbon dating is limited to its function, which is based on the decay of Carbon-14. You are right in that Radiocarbon dating is not used for dating rocks because carbon isotopes are only found in the remains of once-living organisms ( living things such as a plant, animal, or bacterium), not minerals, and radioactive C14 has a very short half-life.

It is a tool that, like other computational tools, an approximation. We can safely say that everything in our Solar System is composed of remnants and debris from Solar activity.

I'm not familiar with this Burckle feature and am not sure I see convincing proof of the interpretation, but the Theia impactor was about the size of Mars and when it hit Earth, ripped a chunk off Earth into space, much of which remained in orbit to settle into forming the Moon while knocking the Earth axis 23° off axis.

But if Burckle was a real impactor that left an 18 mile diameter impact in the deep ocean floor, not likely much if anything survived the impact. Even the Chicxulub impactor that wiped out the dinosaurs and nearly all life on Earth was just 6-9 miles in diameter (opinions vary), hitting shallow seas and land.

From the point of impact at the Yucatan peninsula, anything within hundreds of miles was instantly destroyed leaving a thermal shock wave that traveled around the planet and an earthquake that went through the Earth felt on the other side of the world.

People who were living then were as intelligent as people living today and would have know the difference between a seasonal flood and a mind boggling near extinction level event.

Although you may not understand - The Holy Spirit is the source of my life, my resurrection - it is and always has been the root, the sprout - the fruit of my existence. I cannot breathe a single breathe - walk a single step - create a single thought without it.
