Actually, with me he does....I see how and why he posts. He likes to stir the pot and heat up the debates.

But I can also read between the lines with him...and I know he knows the truth as it pertains to the conservative ideology...he does not agree with it....but he understands it.

But as I do with the left, he loves to point out the hypocirsy of the right...and there is plenty to point out.

However, this latest exchange was disappointing for me. He seems to want to ignore the fact that Sony is not making a documentary...they are making a big screen, high profit, full length movie...and it will senationalize the event....they will do all they can to sensationalize it as that is what attracts high ticket receipts.

And the WH is aware of this...and for an administration who, RIGHTFULLY SO, asked that we NOT sensationalize the event to turn around and assist the writers....it can be for only one reason...becuase it will help the image of the President.

Last week, more details on the actual raid and what went on inside the house were released. Hollywood can try to sensationalize the subject matter. But if key facts are already public knowledge, then it ties them into what they can show

No. What people in this thread are saying is that it's wrong for the government to "capitalize" on the movie.

Which is weird to me, honestly. If the movie's going to get made...and possibly made horribly wrong, why not correct the errors and put the cash to work for the people of the country? Maybe we can all agree to a fun little fiction that the money will be earmarked for veteran's benefits.

That's my point. The GOP House has passed bills that can't get through the Senate. And they keep doing it. They control ONE house of Congress. They have to do more than pass far-right bills that they know won't make it through the Senate. At some point you'd think they would figure it out. In order to get anything done in a divided gov't you have to come to some sort of compromise. The GOP saying, "Hey, we can work with you on some infrastructure or tax reform", is compromise. "We won't agree to anything less than everything", or, "Here's our bill to privatize Medicare", is not compromise.
