Did you read the whole thing? You shouldn’t speak as if you know the ins and outs of air controller staffing when of course you have no idea

They said Optimally there’s two. It’s within regulations to run with one if staffing realities dictate it.

I’m a nurse, and usually have 20 or so patients on my shift. If there’s a call in I might have to split a hall and take another 10.

It increases the risk for medication errors. Of course it does. But sometimes it’s just the way it is.

Making another nurse work a double shift and stay over is dangerous too.

Maybe the investigation will prompt them to change their staffing ratios, but to say they were “supposed” to have two is false.

The controller was telling the helicopter pilot what to do. There would be NO point in blaming the controller. Not that it will stop it from happening if something like you noted happened.

So the man in the above video (Captain Steve) says likely the helicopter had another plane in visual but it was the wrong plane he was watching. By the time the helicopter saw the plane in question, it was too late.
