Breaking: NBC News Reporting Ted Cruz Became U.S. "Naturalized" Citizen In 2014 (Not Natural-Born)

Stick a fork in Ted, he's done. A naturalized Citizen (Bestowed by man made law) can never be made into a natural born Citizen (Bestowed by God/ natural Law).

Law professor challenges Cruz on citizenship, candidacy

Can't beat him at the ballot, so you still have to keep pounding the canard a guy who's mother was American isn't natural born, ay, monkey man?

Well to be fair, there are these documents which prove Cruz was a birthright-Canadian who felt for some reason he had to legally-renounce that in 2014. Someone nudged him and said "hey bro, you know that Alberta birth certificate might come back to bite you in the butt.." And it has. He is ineligible.

Can't be both. Only have proof for one. Cruz was born naturally a Kanuck.[/QUOTE]

Can't be both.

Why do you feel that?

Only have proof for one.

You don't believe his Mom is American? Why not?

Cruz was born naturally a Kanuck.

Yup. American too.

Sil has this wrong, too.

Cruz is eligible.
Many prestigious and highly-educated Constitutional legal scholars agree with me. Sorry, you're outgunned on this one:

Tribe, who also taught constitutional law to Cruz and Obama at Harvard, concurred. “I don’t agree that it’s ‘settled law,’” he told ABC News. “The Supreme Court has never addressed the issue one way or the other, as I believe Ted ought to know.”...Trump also says that the question could prompt a long, drawn-out battle in the courts that could spell problems for the Republican Party. But Neuborne disagrees....“You’re putting the presidency in play in some way in a world in which the American president is the anchor,” Neuborne said. “When that is threatened, the American judiciary moves immediately and fast.”

And that's exactly what they'll do upon the moment Cruz is nominated. SCOTUS will kick into high gear no matter how close to the election and immediately clarify that a person born with a Canadian birth certificate and who maintained that citizenship for over 40 years will not be qualified according to the original and steadfast intent of the natural-born requirement; tailored to minimize allegiance to a foreign country in the most powerful Seat in our nation.

And that will be more than an embarrassment for the GOP, it will mean their defeat in the general election, guaranteed...

He maintained his US natural born citizenship for longer than that.

So why do you feel the length of time has any bearing on the issue?

"Many prestigious and highly-educated Constitutional legal scholars", far more than disagree, that Cruz is eligible to run.

Sil, if you want the LGBT cause up front to be overturned, Cruz not Trump is your guy.

Trump does not care at all about the issue, will use it to his advantage, and then dump it once elected.

But Cruz is Canadian and I took high school Poli-Sci and passed it.

Ummm...............this debate has already been settled.
I don't think it's been settled. And Rep. Alan Grayson says he will file a lawsuit if Cruz is the nominee.
True enough. I was reading an article about some legal scholars who were saying essentially that the question CAN'T be answered by the lower courts and that it is only a question for SCOTUS because of the supreme urgency of setting such a precedent and allowing it to go unchallenged. It's that original intent thing with the FF not wanting any foreign influence in a person holding the Office of POTUS. Supremely important not to get wrong and therefore the Supremes are the only ones qualified to pass judgment on it, on behalf of all 50 states affected.

And, if Cruz is nominated, 50-guesses how the liberal-dominated Court with Scalia gone will Find. The first 49 guesses don't count. Cruz is cooked. Better oust him now, and give Kasich the "never Trump" vote instead of waiting. There are really no more southern-baptist states left. All that's left are states that are protestant or catholic. And guess what? Kasich is a bit of both. Raised catholic (California & other Western/ Southwestern Hispanic votes) and currently in Anglican church (derived from the old Church of England). Yep, Kasich is sound reasoning, Sunday church socials, loves the Pope. That's the rest of the primary states right there.

Oh, and Trump is a hedonist who has said he basically hates Hispanics and wants to deport all of them. If the time to replace Cruz with Kasich isn't now, it never is...

No, Sil, Cruz has always been American, and nothing anyone says can change that.

Living in Canada through the age of 4 causes an undue foreign influence? LOL!
You're a delicate flower, aren't you?

Mama Cruz is an American citizen, Sil; baby Cruz is a citizen of the US, too.

McCain was born in Panama to American parents. McCain is a natural born US citizen because of his parents.

Obama was born in Hawaii to an American mother. Obama is a natural born citizen because of where he was born.

Cruz was born in Canada to an American mother. Cruz is a natural born citizen because of his mother.

You birthers really gotta lay off...........you're starting to eat your own.

Not the same as having it adjudicated. Plus, Lawrence Tribe believes he's not eligible, and that carries a lot of weight.
