BREAKING: Most of Trump's tariffs ruled illegal

So glad we are not a nation of activist judges..

“But some lowly judge can just override all that? ”

Yes, that’s how our government works.

Dispite your fervent hopes, your beloved fuhrer is not above the law and is not going to be allowed to play dictator.
What a joke, you think some low circuit judge can set national trade policy.

"Trump has no legal authority to impose a tarriff without an act of Congress."
Sure he does.. Congress already acted... try to keep up and stop regurgitating the liberal lies.

Congress did delegate tariff powers to the President through the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). Enacted in 1977, the IEEPA allows the President to regulate international commerce in response to an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States.Economic security is national security.

Under the IEEPA, the President can impose tariffs and other economic sanctions without needing explicit congressional approval, provided that the actions are justified as necessary to address the declared emergency. This delegation of power has been used by various administrations, including Donald Trump's, to implement tariffs on goods from specific countries, citing national security concerns.

Over time, Congress has delegated some authority to the President through various laws, allowing the executive branch to impose tariffs under certain conditions, such as national security or trade emergencies. Statutory provisions like the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 and the Trade Act of 1974 enable the President to act on tariffs based on investigations and determinations by federal agencies, but this authority ultimately stems from congressional legislation.

Although the ruling declares the tariffs illegal, it will not take effect until October 14, 2025, allowing the Trump administration time to appeal to the Supreme Court. Trump has publicly criticized the court's decision, labeling it as "highly partisan" and asserting that the tariffs are essential for national security and economic strength.

$37T in debt and half a trillion a year trade deficit is a national emergency no matter how ones paints it.

If not for tariff revenue, America is going to collapse. Unless these same courts are going to support a balanced deficit law where all of the big donors get F all since the U.S has to balance their budget each year and your military falls behind.
Are you on drugs?

A specific judge assigned a specific station cannot make rulings for the entire country as the USSC has already ruled

Smith Hawley Act plus two other laws that allow him to do tariffs.

With that being said. I agree with the reasoning. It's not an emergency. But it needs to be done. Under the right law.
