The father did ask for asylum and it's been pending for years. From the link in the OP:

I say send the family members back to Egypt. The father is now a terrorist and needs to be dealt with accordingly.

The father likely is just emotionally ill, and that has no reflection on the family at all.
Since Hamas is trying to liberate a country being stolen by Israel, it is impossible for them to be "terrorists".
They are justified in any retaliation they can do, and it is Menachim Begin who practically invented terrorism when he blew up the British peace keepers in the King David Hotel in 1946.
What you claim is like calling the French Resistance "terrorists" in WWII.
The bigger picture changes everything.
Israel is the guilty party.
