Brazil...made it easier for normal people to get guns...anti-gunners screamed and shouted...gun murder down in Brazil...

Does that mean more people are buying guns, or are the same people buying more and more guns? Without a proper process of gun registration and licensing, there's no way of knowing one way or the other.

Criminals don't register their guns so you have no point.....

From the U.S. experience...

Over 27 years, from 1993 to the year 2015, we went from 200 million guns in private hands in the 1990s and 4.7 million people carrying guns for self defense in 1997...to close to 400-600 million guns in private hands and over 19.4 million people carrying guns for self defense in 2019 (in 2020 that number is 21.52 million)...guess what happened...

Gun Homicide Rate Down 49% Since 1993 Peak; Public Unaware

Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

This means that access to guns does not create gun crime........

No they didn't, they were afraid that it might increase gun crime, there's a difference.

No....they said it would....and it didn't....it never does....everytime the anti-gun fanatics predict blood in the streets when we pass concealed or open carrying of guns, the gun crime rate goes down, not up...

First time gun owners are buying guns.

Oh, I have a very good point, as you demonstrate with the usual torrent of copy/paste BS.

Without licencing and registration, you have no idea of who owns how many guns. Surveys are just glorified opinion polls.

Licensing and registration doesn't do anything......normal gun owners aren't the ones shooting people over drug turf....

What magic do you thing licensing and registration have over criminals who can't buy, own or carry guns in the first place?

And mass public shooters...the few of them that we have? They will go out, get a license, register their guns, then use them to commit mass public shootings.........so again, licensing and registration is nothing more than the first step to banning and confiscating guns...

Europe did their licensing and registration in the 1920s....the German socialists then used those records in the 1930s to take guns away from their political enemies and Jews, then proceeded to murder 15 million of them....

Britain used licensing and registration...then used those records to ban and confiscate guns.......and criminals still get illegal guns...and are flooding Britain with them to this day......
