Bravo Netanyahu On Meet The Press

Only if the Israelis use nukes on Sunnis...It is the Islamic Bomb...The Saudis paid for them...
You have no idea what your talking about. Saudis and Israelis are now friends. Both allies who have been surprised and concerned about Obama's behavior. They have realized that Obama cannot be trusted.

Behind the scenes, the Saudis are begging the Israelis to go ahead and whack Iran for them. In fact, Israeli air force jets have already practiced landing and refueling in Saudi Arabia for their Iran mission.

Of course the Saudis want Israel to knock out Iran, one less enemy or the enemy of my enemy is my friend, but the Sunni Islamists hate Israel as much as Iran...

Go for it: Let the games begin!
So your theories are illogical fantasies.

LMAO! Voltaire a "HUMANIST." Can you believe this folks what PBel says? Eh, Pbel do you think maybe Voltaire is more accurately categorized as a HUMORISTrather than a HUMANIST? But hey, ya gotta love Votaire for his witty humor despite his hatred for God, creation & humanity. Heh Heh!

I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord make my enemies... - Voltaire at BrainyQuote

Oh & Pbel, you sure picked a wonderful man to emulate for world love & peace. Don't you agree?

“Christianity is the most ridiculous, the most absurd, and bloody religion that has ever infected the world”

F L A M E : The Saudis: Are they our friends...or our enemies?

The Saudis
Are they our friends . . . or our enemies?

For decades the U.S. has considered Saudi Arabia our friend — and an important source of oil. But now, because fifteen of nineteen of the September 11 hijackers were Saudi citizens, because Saudi schools and newspapers teach anti-American and anti-Semitic hatred, and because Saudi Arabia refuses to cooperate with U.S. efforts to stop terrorism, many are asking whether this "friendship" still makes sense.

What are the facts?
Militant Islam thrives in Saudi Arabia. Not only were most of the 9/11 terrorists Saudis, but some 80% of the prisoners held at Guantánamo are Saudis, Osama bin Laden is a Saudi, and recent evidence proves that Saudi Arabia has been a principal supporter both of al Qaeda and of Palestinian suicide bombers.

"For decades the U.S. has considered Saudi Arabia our friend — and an important source of oil."

The sentence SHOULD be...
"For decades the U.S. has considered Saudi Arabia an important source of oil, and thus, our friend."

If they ever give a Nobel for Krusty stupidity MJ, surely you will win!!!

Voltaire Enlightenment Era Humanist Philosopher history | Exploring Our World and History, One Blog Post at a Time

François-Marie d’Arouet was a French writer, public activist, philosopher and humanitarian who pointed philosophy down a number of new paths, in which it responded to successfully. François-Marie was born in 1694, amidst the Enlightenment era, in which people were using their ability to reason rationally. His writings often reflected themes of religion, politics, science, history and philosophy, usually written with a unique satiric tone, in which he was famous for. Many of his works were published anonymously in pamphlets and essays, in order to avoid prosecution by the government, Catholic Church, and the aristocracy, all of which he was a forthright critic of. His writings allowed people to see a contrasting side of what they had known as true for so long.

Atta boy! Thank you for backing me up that Voltaire was a satirical witty humorist & in no way a "HUMANIST."

Oh, & as far as the enlightenment goes, do you think maybe others wouldn't be laughing at you had you chosen St.Thomas Aquinas or Moses Maimonides instead of the clown Voltaire?

So many points to make, so little time.

This thread in some ways has gone way beyond what was posted, but I still want to try to make a response.

The first point I want to make is I wish the 'other' folks could post short and succinct videos as were posted in this thread. Makes life much easier for those of us will real jobs, lol.

OK, the first video was very good, very informative and right to the point.. The second video in post #2 was much the same. I thought that the other video of the early Ben Netay was pretty cool as well.

OK, now on to my diatribe. And it is probably not at all answering much to the topic of this thread. This portion speaks to electing the woman in post #2 as president. It is too bad that the politics in the United States of America is so polarized that no one can decide to elect someone based upon their convictions. That may become our downfall, and I am afraid for that. I thought that although Ron Paul's foreign policy was too, what is the word, "separatist?" if push came to shove it was the best thing to consolidate our forces here at home.

Now the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq and nukes have been brought up in this thread. Get your torches lit up folks.

After 9/11 we should not have invaded Afghanistan. We should have done what we did to finish off WWII. Turn a portion or two of Afghanistan into a glass parking lot. Remind the world that we were the ones that had the balls to do it once, and do it again. We would not have wasted any American troops lives and the Taliban and Al Queda would have said, "Oh crap, don't mess with those guys", and we might have taken out Bin Laden right then and there.

When it came to Iraq, why did we send such a puny force?

My honest point is this. If you want to mess with the United States of America, we should always treat such threats/wars as we did during WWII. Total immersion of troops, total destruction, total war, totally and with finality. Just like Sherman. Total War. If we were to treat every threat to our existence and interests like this, some of the world may *****, but we will win and thumb our noses and say to them, "Yeah, what you got to say to that Willis?"

And then they will leave us alone.

So true. Regretfully when all else has failed to achieve peace only war can achieve it. If not for war the USA would still be a British colony. If not for war Hitler would have ruled the world. If not for war Japan would not be our ally & trading partner. And if not for war, Jordan would not be living in peace from Palestinians. Whatever it takes, LET THERE BE PEACE ALREADY!

The Arab Spring is an expression of the people who are sick and tired of their poverty in life under the Tyrants...

I think the 'Arab Spring' finally proved to many sheltered, comfortable bourgeois types in the West that even the most vile dictators in the Islamic countries are actually more 'moderate' than the 'Arab Street' they sit on and oppress, and not the other way around. It certainly has reduced the belief that 'radical Islamists' are a 'very tiny minority'.

Many of those who were cheering the 'Spring' under the delusion that they were supporting some 'freedom revolution' and such nonsense as 'ending American imperialism in the ME' and the other fashionable PC memes re 'Peace in the ME' are now almost totally silent on the results of that 'struggle for freedom', much the same way those who were peddling the myth that 'Islam' was more tolerant and enlightened' throughout history than the evul Xians and Jews' have become less fashionable and quieted down the last few years.

Islam is not a religion, it's a violent, genocidal, and imperialistic political ideology. It's Nazism in steroids and crank. Throwing some pseudo-religious window trappings on it doesn't make it a religion.

By the way ISIS took over a border crossing today in the Jordan/Iraqi border...I wouldn't get too snug just yet...The Horde is just over the border, I think I am losing my hopes for an Israeli/Palestinian peace...This conflict hastened the Arab Spring, its not just anti-Israel its anti-West, and as Iraq proved, we can't win on the ground, technology can't keep boots on the ground, in hostile populations.

As Iraq, and Afghanistan too, proved, we can't waste money and lives on some fantasy these people 'are just like us' and will take to civilization. That's not the same as 'can't win on the ground'; winning on the ground merely requires not wearing kid gloves when going to war against an enemy. That we do very very well, which is why our enemies have to hide behind children and sneak around in the dark, plotting such things as hijacking civilian planes, blowing up subways, etc.

I generally agree, my only snivel being with the part I bolded. It's actually cheaper and much safer to maintain all those forward bases overseas than have to turn around and retake them all over again later. Isolationism is a fantasy that has around 10,000 years of written history proving it wrong as a strategic doctrine. If the American public wasn't so happy and fine with it's own domestic corruption re defense spending and other pork barrel rolling the costs would be a lot cheaper. It's not the strategy and doctrine that is flawed, but domestic issues that make it far more expensive than it should be.

The PLO was ousted from Jordan after the Jordanian–Palestinian civil war. The Palestinian military organizations then made South Lebanon its headquarters and enlisted militants from Palestinian refugee camps. South Lebanon was also referred to as Fatahland, due to the almost complete control of Fatah and other military Palestinian organizations over this officially Lebanese area, which they used to stage attacks against Israel, mainly targeting civilians, and to engage in international aircraft hijacking campaigns.

President Idi Amin allowed several more Palestinians to join the original hijackers.[32] Hostage accounts given after the raid testified that the hijackers kept both Jews and Israelis hostages.[20] However, in 2011, one former hostage has claimed that non-Israelis, including Jews, were allowed to leave.[21] When Israeli authorities failed to negotiate a political solution, they decided the only option was an attack to rescue the hostages.

Quite true, but a part of me thinks that the only real forward bases (or the best) we need are the Ohio class subs we still have silently moving about the globe, ready to unleash hell upon whomever provokes us.

Politics throughout History is nothing more or less Human Nature...You bomb us and invade our land or starve us unjustly with Tyrants who enrich themselves with our sweat and blood, Revolutions will follow...Human Nature always trumps power. People can only take so much abuse.
