Boycott Israel? Future Ebola cure may come from us!

you are sick!

The suggestion is racial, dangerous and stupid
Not as stupid as claiming Hamas uses human shields, when you're dropping 1000 pound bombs that take out entire neighborhoods.

Says who, and can you give a link to this alleged 1000 lb bomb from other than an ISLAMONAZI source.

You do realise that a modern 1000 lb bomb would take out gaza city and the death toll would by in the hundreds of thousands

Six people were killed and six others seriously injured on Wednesday when an unexploded 500-kilogram Israeli missile blew up in Beit Lahiya, in northern Gaza, as weapons disposal experts were attempting to make it safe.
Head of Gaza Bomb Squad Killed As 1,000 Tons Of Israeli Munitions Remain By Nora Barrows-Friedman

If they can defuse the 1,000 tons of unexploded ordinance dropped by Israel, (that is about a million Kilograms of explosives) I wonder if the Palestinians are into recycling ?

Good point.

Israel's murderous collective punishment on Gaza, not intended nor able to prevent rocket attacks (which Hamas had in fact stopped for 2 years) were in fact a resupply mission by the IDF to give military high explosives to Hamas, while removing all other utilities, commerce and public buildings.

So either the strategy was incompetent.
Or Israel needs Hamas to be more militant.

I suspect a good deal of both.

Israel has it seems delivered a million kilograms of High explosive's via dud rounds to Hamas, many Happy returns!

With 1100 dead terrorists? We are all happy! I'm glad that we finally agree on something fanger!

I believe it is 64 dead terrorists Danny.

And upwards of 1900 Palestinians, a few of which were active resistance fighters.

Africa is currently facing its worst Ebola outbreak in history, with over 1,600 officially reported cases of infection, a death toll of 880 and rising, and a startling mortality rate of up to 90 percent.

One of the reasons that the Ebola virus is so deadly is that there is still no proven vaccine or treatment, and only a handful of researchers around the world are currently working on a cure. But while the World Health Organization (WHO) is busy raising $100 million for an emergency response plan, increasing numbers of people in West Africa are prone to or have already become infected with one of the most deadly and dangerous diseases.

So what’s really being done about a cure? Dr. Leslie Lobel, an Israeli researcher at Ben Gurion University and one the world’s few experts on the Ebola virus, is currently ahead of many of his international colleagues when it comes to discovering a vaccine that would make humans immune to the virus. But besides toting his own vaccine as the cure all and end all of the Ebola epidemic, Lobel has some interesting insight to impart on why this is the most serious outbreak in history.

Lips, please don't cure Ebola, it's cleaning up Africa.

Israel should inform the BBC of their potential cure, as they fail to mention it in their reporting.
Just US and Canadian companies.

BBC News - Ebola: Experimental drugs and vaccines

Naughty BBC, going round telling the truth.
Odd as it may seem, this massive Israeli breakthrough is hardly reported outside Jewish press such as the OP's quoted "nocamels.com" site.
No camels is clear a name we must take seriously.

Lobel is really an American that went to Israel, something that the Israeli lot seem to have neglected to mention.

Israeli Ebola researcher unique in learning how some victims survive | JPost | Israel News

For the last 12 years, Lobel has devoted himself to the study of viral diseases at BGU’s Health Sciences Faculty. Born in Queens, New York, he has an MD degree and doctorate in virology from Columbia University and studied the human immune response to cancer and developed human monoclonal antibodies.

He also doesn't think the disease is up to much.

Lobel said:
There is general hysteria in the West about Ebola fever, but it is overblown

Then we look at his motives.

The risks to Israel are very minimal. The only way for it to spread is through an infected traveler on plane. But if that ever happened, Israel has a security and medical system that is second to none. Infected individuals, before they appear sick, could possibly board a plane and come here. However, sick individuals would be effectively quarantined in Israel and the infection would be rapidly controlled,” Lobel said.

In other words, he's looking at this to protect Israel, not giving a flying shit about anyone else.
As is common, he's using American funding in his efforts to protect Israel.

Nobody really wants Ebola cured, it's cleaning up Africa.

Ebola is not very infectious.

You have to be in contact with or ingest body fluids of the person infected. Its not like the flu.

If it is more infectious now, that would only be because someone has released a weaponised version of it. No one releases a weaponised bacterial agent unless they already have the counter measures.

So this 'Ebola' story looks very much like an attempt to divert headline news. Especially when you see the guff that senior politicians are saying to hype it up.

What other story might they want to get off the front pages?

Ebola is a virus, highly infectious and has a very short nesting before outbreak is the only reason it doesn't blast wildly but this time the infection rate is unlike any time before.
And the infected are condemned to die since there is no cure, 50% to 90% of the infected die.

I'm sure a vaccine is needed, but as he says he only works with non contagious people who have survived (didn't say how many they were) as he has no containment room in Israel, and his vaccine might be ready in 5 years,,

I'm sure we will have one before that and in the meantime we are working on treating patients. So lot of good he is doing now, he wants money grants.

100% of everyone dies.

However:
Ebola is much less contagious than many other more common diseases. The virus, much like HIV or hepatitis, is spread through blood or bodily fluids and is not airborne.

Many factors play into how contagious a disease is thought to be, say Jeff Duchin, MD, an infectious disease expert at the University of Washington, Seattle, and Amesh Adalja, MD, an infectious disease expert at the University of Pittsburgh.

Among those factors:

How it’s transmitted (airborne, bodily fluids, other)
Infection-control practices in place
Extent of contact an infected person has with others
Percent of the population that has been vaccinated (if a vaccine exists)
To gauge how contagious different diseases are, experts take these and other things into account and estimate the average number of people likely to catch the illness from a single infected person. They call this the basic reproductive rate or number. The number is an average, a scientific guess, experts say, and it is likely to vary from country to country.

"I would anticipate the reproductive rate for Ebola in the U.S. to be zero," Adalja says.

Ebola Virus: How Contagious?

So its the scare mongering is not all bollocks. Just 99.9%

As before: I wonder what other story they are trying to push off the front page ...
