Boris gets his arse kicked for the first time this week.

Johnsons third defeat of the week. He is fucked and so is his shitty party.

Let's not get ahead of history now. For to me it seems, all three defeats were widely expected, including the one BoJo himself brought about, proposing an early election, which poses the question, what's the game plan? BoJo is always playing silly games, most of which back-fire, and badly, so what is his?

Here's what's going on, as far as I can read him: We know, there's going to be an election, and pretty soon. The Tories are in a hair-raising danger of being eaten up by the Brexit party. So, he tries to make the Brexit party pointless by making it appear as if the Tories were the better, somewhat less odious version of it, but just as committed to Brexit. All, or so I think, he then needs to do is to have a string of votes in the Commons (and public opposition statements) that allows him to put the blame for "no Brexit deal yet" and "no Brexit yet" on the loyal opposition. They thwarted and sabotaged his very promising negotiations, and prevented Brexit from happening. He knows he can't get a substantially better deal from the EU, and so he invites the Commons to assume responsibility for the fact no deal is reached. Hence he is going for a better parliament, one with a Tory majority sailing on delivering Brexit, while the other parties won't.

Can it work with Britons, fed up with the endless Brexit brouhaha?
It sort of makes sense and is a definite possibility. Except that the slim brexit majority has gone and he would need to invoke fear of Corbyn to get elected. I also think that he has fucked up big time every day since he took over and he now has huge credibility questions.
But we did vote for brexit so I would never put money on British intelligence. Still some twists and turns to come.

If this entire 'Brexit' affair were a Monty Python sketch, we would be laughing not at how funny it is but how interminable.
The ground has shifted so much that it should be clear the original referendum no longer applies. That would make a second referendum an obvious choice. The fact that this has been ignored and, thus, made unclear merely heightens the comic element.
Still, the absolutely funniest aspect is how far the effort to shift the onus onto the E.U. has succeeded. Utter absurdity in its ultimate manifestation!

The EU has not played fair. It wants to punish the UK for having the temerity to want to leave.

And just look at the clowns running that shit show.

The EU spent best part of 3 years agreeing a deal. No mean feat for 27 countries. What have they done wrong ?

Is it not clear that the major obstacles to a 'Brexit' with a deal were already in place at the outset? Is it not clear that these obstacles were internal to the U.K. and external to the E.U.? If not, please refer to the geographical placement of Ireland.

A deal which in end effect meant the UK was 99% still in the clutches of the EU.

Brexiteers dont give a shit about Ireland. You will wait until the crack of doom before they address this.

The UK government agreed it. Where are the EU at fault ?

All the UK had to do was sort out the Irish question and it was free and clear. But it was never about leaving the EU, it was about intra-party blood letting.
