A new Public Policy Polling survey in Connecticut finds Attorney General Richard Blumenthal (D) leading all three Republicans in the U.S. Senate race by at least 30 points.

Blumenthal leads Rob Simmons ®, 59% to 28%, tops Linda McMahon ®, 60% to 28%, and beats Peter Schiff ®, 63% to 23%.

LOL, Dodd Retired but it look's like the Republicans chances of gaining this seat Retired too .

Rightys of this board were the ones that were so happy he was retiring they posted 500 threads about it and how Repubs were gonna take over that seat..

Dodd just announced today that he would not seek re-election and there is already a poll out about his seat? And since your link didn't work....My bet is this is for the second Senatorial seat, not Dodds. Regardless the election is 11 months away and the left is lossing ground fast. Which is why Dodd isn't running again. He doesn't want to have to explain all the bribs to get his Bull Shit health care Bill passed.

The truth is the exact opposite of what you claim:
Fifty-one percent of registered voters in Connecticut questioned in a Quinnipiac University survey released Tuesday say they definitely won't or probably won't vote for Dodd in November 2010, when the five-term Democratic senator is up for re-election. Forty-two percent say they'll definitely or probably vote for Dodd.

Nice try kid but this isn't HS.

Regardless, Connecticut is still a blue state.
They had issues with Dodd unrelated to the current Obama administration. Dodd dropping out probably enhances the chances of another Dem being elected

Again... a real shock that a DEM would be leading n some poll in the North East

Now how accurate a quick poll like this is would be in question.. but I do not doubt the results in a state like that...

But as for your other assertion, most were happy to have Dodd out... and probably excited that there has been a sort of a swing.... as evidenced by approval ratings, voter dissatisfaction, etc

YOur right there RW.

Dodd was a big player in the Freddie and Fannie fiasco as well as the sweetheart deal he got on one of his houses. He had problems that I'm sure would have hit the campaign trail with him.

As I said the election isn't until November and this poll is the same day everything else happened. It means nothing. But then again Connecticut is very heavy left leaning.

Connectictis liberal more than a conservative state, Liberman will face a very up hill fiht should he decide to run an an indy in 2012. He was very much going against the people in his state when he was opposing Health Care.

It is ashame to Dodd leave, but the hand writting was on the wall.

The insurance cos are the states biggest private employers, should be an interesting contest.

Vote Dem, Collect unemployment
