As for this website..well, I note a fair amount of non-liberal antisemitism, from some of the usual Board loons--I also note that not supporting Israel is not, de facto, antisemitism.
Of course, why you don't support Israel may indeed be antisemitic, hard to tell sometime, given the tacit approval for Jew-bating in some parts of our culture.

I imagine it depends on whether you see political opposition as an expression of cultural bigotry--which indeed, it is presented as just that, by some.

IRL? I run into very little antisemitism..save for the little cultural cliches that linger..'Jewing' someone down to get a good deal and such nonsense. We will never eliminate cultural stereotyping, IMO.

There is a LOT of antisemitism around here - a very liberal area. The closer you get to the Muslim concentrations, the worse it gets. There have been calls of “Death to Jews” at the local high school, some really bad anti-Jew bullying incidents, we’ve been warned not to wear our Star of David in public, and we have armed security at services.

i might make the point here that Leftist and liberal are not always synonymous.

Now, I get to Seattle, Sacramento and LA on a semi-regular basis. I've seen a few pro-pally demos..and a few pro-Israel demos.
I've not seen anything couched as anti-Jewish...not that such does not happen, i know it does.

In my area, most do not care about such foolishness...except to wonder why we keep spending so much money.

Do you know there was a Democrat running in Texas (she lost her primary) who said that Americans who support Israel should be arrested and sent to dentention centers? That’s how bad the Left has gotten.

I went to a big pro-Israel fundraiser last week, and there was heavy police presence both inside and outside the building. With canines, too, probably to sniff for bombs.

Please don't take that as a defense.

If you call a black the N-word, that is widely accepted as a racial slur. But there is no J-word. Worse, while slurring a black is widely unpopular and likely met with strong protest, making slurs against Jews right now is largely NOT unpopular, in fact, probably condoned and popular, and likely will NOT be met with big ugly mobs of Jews rioting, looting, and burning down any city nor lawsuits of slander and bigotry.

So, it is a lot easier to write off comments critical of Jews or Israel as mere opinion, POV, or freedom of speech. A double standard? Sure, but that is how society works.

What gets me is if we put most ANY OTHER GROUP OF PEOPLE in Israel's place: blacks, women, children, muslims, Latinos et al, society would be outraged at their being allowed treated the same way that they literally condone and rationalize treating the Jewish!

I agree, we do indeed have some virulent Jew-haters here on the right. But IME, most of them on USMB are coming from the Left.

On the right, they’re Equal Opportunity Bigots - blacks, Jews, whatever. But on the left, they flail against bigotry against blacks and then spew it against Jews. It’s the hypocrisy that gets me.

The whole thing is quite odd. They post an announcement two summers ago that racist and antisemitic comments would not be tolerated, and that repeat offenders would be permanently banned. Since then, the expressed antisemitism has reached levels not seen since Germany in the 1930s.
