1. He wants to censor the press - Biden used threats and intimidation to censor social media and news networks to hide Hunter Biden's laptop. His FBI took the laptop and made it disappear claiming they were investigating if any crimes were committed, but no charges were ever brought. Instead they charged him with a simple gun charge they tried sweeping under the rug during a ridiculous plea-deal attempt that fell thru, because the judge couldn't be bought. Even though Trump's new coverage is 98% negative, he complained that they didn't go far enough.

Okay, let's start with the obvious. Biden wasn't in charge of the FBI or anything else when social media companies decided to NOT promote the laptop story that everyone concluded was a Russian disinformation campaign. The problem with the laptop is that while it shows Hunter is a troubled person, you have to really squint to find criminal activity.

Trump's coverage is not 98% negative. The problem with the media is that they like Trump because he's good for ratings. The media did a TERRIBLE job of covering, including sane-washing his crazy for the last 8 years.

He wants to open concentration camps for immigrants - Biden has been shipping illegals all over the US by bus and by jet. Where they have large numbers, they have set them up in hotels, homeless shelters, food kitchens, community centers, etc. They've kicked homeless veterans out to house illegals. When Obama was in office, he built immigrant processing centers with cages. Trump used those same centers, and was immediately attacked for putting people in cages Obama built. When Biden became president everyone forgot about these centers. They no-longer mattered.

Okay, besides the already debunked story about "homeless veterans", resettling a small fraction of immigrants with legitimate asylum claims is NOT the same as putting them in camps like Trump did and separating families. Obama only briefly detained minors until placements could be found for them. When Biden came in, these centers were largely closed.

He wants to appoint people without Senate approval - Every president wants to do this. Democrats have gone around this by bribing or blackmailing Senate members to approve people that normally wouldn't make it thru the process. This explains why Mitch McConnell refused to allow AG Garland to become a Supreme Court Justice, but then voted for him to be Attorney General.

This has never been done with Cabinet level officers before. Nor should it be.

He didn't need to be authoritarian with COVID, he just needed to do his job - Trump did his job. Everyone he put in charge of COVID remained thru the Biden Adm. Where most of the authoritarianism took place was at the state level. Presidents don't have the power to declare shut downs unless they declare a national emergency. So the governors did the COVID shut downs. Democrat governors were the most authoritarian of the bunch. Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Oregon, Washington, California, New York, New Jersey, Colorado. Biden instituted vaccine mandates, and fired airline pilots and active-duty military that refused to get vaccinated.

Good for him.

Trump didn't take Covid Seriously until it was too late, and he fought those trying to contain it at every turn. That's why the US had the highest level of Covid Deaths on his watch.
