Bill Maher Goes Off On Neil deGrasse Tyson

Tyson wasn’t there to denounce or voice political opinions. You obviously don’t know what he stands for. Scientific thinking always leaves options on the table. Always questions. It’s about curiosity. Not pushing agendas
LOL.. you’re really reaching into the vague platitudes to avoid admitting the obvious.

Tell me what science supports the differences in male/female performance in sports being based ONLY ON SOCIAL TREATMENT.

Zero differences based on their differences in biology.

It’s an opinion and claim beyond dumb. It’s factually false, logically false, easily provably false. Yet, it was in a supposedly reputable scientific publication?

Give me a reason why anyone should consider such laughably false claims, and why such claims shouldn’t be met with humor because they are so outlandish (like flat earth theory). They might as well be trying to prove and advocate that all aspects of the book of Genesis were literally true.

The claim is one of religious zeal and complete leftist ideology, rejecting all universal proof of the contrary.

Actually, it would do quite well because most people aren't bigoted assholes like you are.
Well, since you’re incapable of having any discussion without having temper tantrums and poutingly slinging insults without any content, I won’t waste my time.

I’ll just remind you that your ideology and beliefs were smacked to the floor in this election. You’re a radical way out in left field, average normal people were like “those people are too crazy for me”

While agreeing with Maher on this subject, it doesn't appear to me that Tyson is defending the article. He points out that the person is no longer employed at the magazine and this demonstrates a rejection of the point of view the person expressed. Maher is at him to state something in the way Maher wants and Tyson has a reflex not to be thus manipulated.
The so-called left has certainly chosen many ridiculous causes to embarrass itself with, and the same could be said of the so-called right. This should show us that being all right or all left all the time is all wrong.

She wasn’t fired for this opinion and I believe Maher’s point was that “Scientific” American should not have printed such garbage in the first place if they are going to pass themselves off as a science based publication. He is correct. Many read what she wrote and believe it is “science” when it fact it is far from it.

Actually, more people thought they were either both too crazy or Trump was.

So the election results are largely meaningless.

Nixon got 60% of the vote in 1972 and by 1974, he was fleeing Washington in a helicopter. THAT'S how fast fortunes change in politics.

And Trump doesn't have a fraction of Nixon's intelligence or skill.

Do you actually have the quote of what she said, or are you just going to take Bill Maher's smarmy characterization of it.

In his defense, he is surrounded by like-minded people in a large urban area. He and others believe that they represent the rest of the country. It sure seems like it is “normal” because everyone around them thinks the same way. Urban areas are nothing more than big group thinks with very little diversity of opinion.

Never said I was a liberal. HEck, voted Republican until 2008, until my boss showed me what 20 years of voting for Republicans gets you. (A decimated middle class and no rights at work)

Now, all that said, there are things the GOP USED to stand for that I agree with. That was before they sold out to Trump and became the party of gun nuts, libertarian children, and religious zealots.

No, I blame Biden for Harris losing. He should have withdrawn a lot earlier than he did.
Also, all the misogynists who couldn't bring themselves to vote for a woman.

Which probably includes Maher.

And yet the current GOP under Trump is one that more and more working class people relate to.

Actually, most of the people I live with are white, and some of them are Trump supporters.... And having a conversation with them is like talking to someone who joined a cult.

No, it's one that WHITE people relate to because for 50 years, they've been told by rich people that the darkies and queers are responsible for their unhappiness.

More and more minorities are moving off from the AWFL led Dem party.

Now go on a rant about them "voting against their class interests", as for some reason a chick with a dick being able to get naked in a women's locker room is a "class interest" for them.

Neil deGrasse Tyson illustrates what is wrong with the left.

They just aren't real. They've been brainwashed into believing something that just isn't rational, and you cannot get them to change their minds.

My takeaway from this is as follows:

Wokeism is not about intelligence, it's about feelz.

Actually, that's probably not True. Harris won Hispanics, Blacks, and Asians, just not by as much as Biden did. And that was probably more because of voter suppression/non-participation than changed minds. Trump only got 2 million more vote than he got in 2020.

As for why some did, I am reminded of why they asked some surviving German Jews why they supported Hilter, given what a raging anti-Semite he was. Their response was that they had become used to anti-Semtiism and thought Hitler could shake things up.

Now, I'm willing to concede that Harris was a poor candidate, and Biden left them behind the 8-ball by not standing down and letting a primary process happen. So seven million people who voted last time stayed home because, frankly, they were beaten over the head about Trump's "inevitability."

Hold onto that, I hear it helps when the voices get too loud. We just love to see democrats try to gain more voters by insulting and denigrating them.

Actually what I said is true, you just don't like it. I didn't say he won the groups I said he made inroads.

Now you get to add your jew hate to the thread, you must have a chubby over it.

The correct motorcycle in this is:

Hispanic, Black and Asian support for the democrat candidate dropped from 2020 to 2024. It's now up to the democrats to figure out why, and so far, we've seen a few sane voices and a lot of blaming the voters, which is of course the best way to get them to vote for you.

Biden was just doing what he was told. Obama was behind the curtain pushing the buttons.

The reason Harris lost is because people don't like her. The only reason you supported her was because the Dems told you to support her.

I do believe she was forced on the democrat voters because she was the only one who could access QPJ's war chest. Money meant more than electability.

Except he didn't make inroads, less people voted. Probably because so many states engaged in voter suppression.

I point out the obvious, that some people are too stupid to act in their own interests.

The Association of German National Jews (German: Verband nationaldeutscher Juden) was a German Jewish organization during the Weimar Republic and the early years of Nazi Germany that eventually came out in support of Adolf Hitler.

It primarily attracted members from the anticommunist middle class, small business owners, self-employed professionals such as physicians and lawyers, national conservatives, and nationalist World War I veterans, many of whom believed that Nazi antisemitism was only a rhetorical tool used to "stir up the masses."[1][2][3]

In 1935, the organization was outlawed, and its founder and leader Max Naumann was imprisoned by the Gestapo.[4] Most other members and their families were murdered in the Holocaust.

The German Vanguard: German Jewish Followers (German: Der deutsche Vortrupp. Gefolgschaft deutscher Juden) was a German association of pro-Nazi Jewish Germans. It was founded in February 1933 by the historian of religion Hans-Joachim Schoeps and dissolved in December 1935.[1]

Vanguard members were fiercely patriotic Germans who sought recognition as a Jewish political movement within the resurgence of German nationalism. They disdained Eastern European Jews and opposed Marxism, Zionism, and liberalism, while failing to grasp the uncompromising racial nature of Nazi antisemitism.[2]

Some of their members were also part of the larger Association of German National Jews, another group of Jews for Hitler outlawed by the Nazi authorities in 1935.

Schoeps went into exile in Sweden at the end of 1938, seven weeks after the Nazi Kristallnacht mobs destroyed most German Jewish businesses and places of worship, just before the organized persecutions of the Jewish people began in earnest.

Speaking of voter-suppression. What do you think our media does?

That's their entire job, voter-suppression.
