"Biden's documents are different from Trump's documents"

But yet you claim they are. You just said they have the force of law. They don’t. Only the legislature can pass things which are backed by the force of law.

EO’s are administrating guidelines. Obama often attempted to circumvent the legislative process through the use of EO’s and many of his EO’s were struck down as being unconstitutional.

I literally told you I didn't say they're laws. I even gave you a link to the ABA stating they're not laws. So why are you lying now saying I claimed they are law?

Not true at all. Again, Executive Orders are directives on how the Executive branch operates on relevant measures. Trump could have changed Obama's EO, had he wanted to, but he didn't. Therefore, he was bound by it.
Obama’s EO’s can not create a law as to how a future administration de-classified information. Any president has a wide ranging ability to de-classify information. Obama could not change that.

You claimed they have the force of law. That means you are claiming that are the law of the land. You would be wrong

Of course they can't create a law. They create directives which must be followed. Otherwise, they would serve no purpose.

And no one is denying the president has options on how to declassify documents. But one thing is certain -- they have to inform someone. They can't just think it and never tell a soul.

You have zero knowledge of what a president is required to do in order to de-classify information. They don’t necessarily need to tell anyone. A president has a lot of discretion.

Arguably Biden could de-classify the info he illegally possessed for the last six plus years. That really wouldn’t change anything though. Besides he won’t do that because it’s likely these documents contained info he wanted to hide.

Wait.....

So you're saying a president can declassify a document without telling anyone and without marking up such a document as unclassified ... and that document is now declassified??

A president can de-classify information without consulting with or telling anyone. He has no requirements to follow any prescribed procedures. There are recommendations, but recommendations are not laws or requirements.

So your answer to my question is ... "yes."

OK, now let's say a president who declassified a document without marking it up or telling anyone they declassified it, dies...

... is that document still declassified?

Yes. Obviously you can read. Good for you.

Once something is de-classified, why would it be appropriate to re-classify it? Why would that make sense if it was already out there for public view?

So taking this to its only logical conclusion... if a president dies without ever telling anyone he declassified a document, how does anyone ever know it was declassified? Of someone were to try to gain access to such a document through the FOIA, how could that be granted?

jeebus. This guy……. Sheesh.

Not sure what you mean by that since you're the one not making any sense.

Again...

If a president dies without ever telling anyone he declassified a document, how does anyone ever know it was declassified? If someone were to try to gain access to such a document through the FOIA, how could that be granted?

Here’s the facts. A president has a very broad authority to de-classify information. He is not required to consult anyone. He is not required to get anyone’s authorization. Nor is he required to tell anyone he did it.

Whether it makes sense to you or makes no sense is irrelevant.

Not knowing whether a document was classified or de-classified by an ex-president, has no relationship with logical deductive reasoning. How? Because, without knowing, the document on its face was useless from the beginning. It serves no purpose. What good is a document without knowing its status? Your explanation is beyond nonsensical.

Your explanation is irrelevant, because it makes zero sense to anyone with a logically functioning brain. Why have a gd document in the first place, when there is no known classification?
Dude, I'm not sure you are playing with a full deck here?

Good question.
