The City of Pueblo announced on Thursday morning that a city-wide curfew will be put in place that prohibits all non-essential activities from 10 PM to 5 AM, including going to restaurants, bars, and social gatherings in public areas. Critical and essential activities, such as traveling to work, will be allowed. The curfew is set to last for two weeks, starting on Friday.

A rising number of COVID-19 cases was cited as the reason for this change. The county's current two-week cumulative incidence rate is 368 cases per 100,000 residents, which falls above the State-recommended 'Stay-at-home' order threshold. This compares to 66 cases per 100,000 residents on October 1.

"COVID-19 is growing exponentially in the City of Pueblo, and in the State of Colorado," said Pueblo Mayor Nick Gradisar. "We must re-double our efforts to slow the spread of the virus. We must do everything we can to keep our schools open, and to keep our businesses open."

CDC data published by Bloomberg News shows that for most age categories, the chances of dying of COVID are lower than the chances of dying of flu.

If people want to have common sense back in these places, stop electing Dems. It's really that simple.
They voted these idiots in place and that carries consequences. Now they can take another big bite out of a shit sandwich and see how it tastes.
If they comply with it, which I have little doubt they will being betas afraid of a minor virus.
But if they don't comply, what can the city officials do? Lock up the entire town?

The Spanish flue killed more people than WWI. It was just the flu, right. The second and third waves were worse than the first.

People in the United States live more then 25 years longer today then back then. We are healthier and yet more sickly. We do it to ourselves with our personal behaviors and from nature as aging breaks down the body also. Living to the early 50's and less back then and living to 80 or so and more today on average is a big uptick.

The exigency at hand is health care resources. Hospitals are near or at capacity in some locations. Some may be overcapacity. We don't want people dying on the street. We should be re-deploying the mobile hospitals.

Worst analogy of all time. That idiot would probably be a cabinet member in a Biden administration. SMH
