The Biden White House, top officials say, is going to make filling judicial vacancies a top priority. Hallelujah. While a key reason Donald Trump and Sen. Mitch McConnell had so many vacancies to fill was the essential blockade Republican senators put on President Obama's nominations, a significant factor was that administration's lack of prioritization of judges in the first term. That's not going to happen this time.

And thanks to Mitch McConnell, President Biden will be able to use his precedent of filling them even faster than Trump. There are multiple jurisdictions where the courts at both the general district, and appeals level need to be expanded because of the expansion of cases, that have overwhelmed the courts ability to hear them. President Biden could put more than 200 judges in seats, in just two years with minor tweaks in parliamentary procedure in the Senate.

This act along with trying to make sure Trump can't come back in the picture, and overly fortefying & securing the Capitol, is an admission they did something so seriously wrong that they are affraid it might unfold before they can tie loose ends and or fortify themselves in making it impossible to be removed.

Actually that was Harry Reid who made that possible in 2013 which he did in my opinion with the belief the Democrats were going to keep the Senate in 2014 and the Presidency in 2016. Mitch McConnell took the precdent Reid set and used it to expand what he did to Supreme Court nominees as well something I have no doubt Reid would have done as well if the Democrats had keep control of the Senate and Presidency.

Sounds good. I do not remember particularly the senate blocking judges, but I was working back then and would not be surprised. Knew legislation was dead when it got to Moscow Mitch.

Should always block libber scum judges, the make up their own law instead of following what is written.

Once the impeachment trial begins...the senate can't vote on ANYTHING until the trial is concluded. Them's the rules!

The Trump legal team intends to present evidence for 4 years!

Good luck with those judges...or cabinet confirmations...or anything else getting thru the senate :auiqs.jpg:
