Biden trying to undermine a trump presidency: federal work from home deal

The "work from home" is 100% about the "army" that showed up in Ferguson/St. Louis on command from homO.

The US taxpayer is paying homO supporters to... be homO supporters and nothing more.

Biden apparently has struck a deal to keep 42,000 federal employees in a telework arrangement. When trump is trying to get the bloated federal work force to actually show up, biden is trying to go behind his back and undermine his presidency.
OMG, that sounds terrible.

The Party of No: New Details on the GOP Plot to Obstruct Obama

TIME just published “The Party of No,” an article adapted from my new book, The New New Deal: The Hidden Story of Change in the Obama Era. It reveals some of my reporting on the Republican plot to obstruct President Obama before he even took office, including secret meetings led by House GOP whip Eric Cantor (in December 2008) and Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (in early January 2009) in which they laid out their daring (though cynical and political) no-honeymoon strategy of all-out resistance to a popular President-elect during an economic emergency. “If he was for it,” former Ohio Senator George Voinovich explained, “we had to be against it.” The excerpt includes a special bonus nugget of Mitt Romney dissing the Tea Party.

Also, 26 lawmakers are advocating for parity in pay. They want the entire federal workforce to get a 4.5% pay raise

Their last pay increase was 15 years ago.

The way rational institutions operate, the "default value" is working in the office. Work at home is PIan B, if the work and the worker are suited to it.

Biden can do anything he wants, but when an employee is directed by his supervisor to come into work, and refuses to do so, s/he can be fired.

Rational institutions look at the workload and evaluate whether that job can be performed outside the office.

They then look at the quality of work and decide whether remote work is working

Studies have shown that remote workers tend to be less productive. When the average federal employee salary is around $106,000 (median income is about 60k), with the benefits and vacation packages they get, and because it's taxpayers dollars that pays them, they need to be as productive as possible.

Be careful what you do, this can work both ways for the next incoming democrat president.
Where are you getting the average federal employees salary is $106k, are you ******* stupid? Most federal employees are GS1-GS9 $21k-66k

Will the Don golf most of his presidency or **** off in the White House?
You can only "wish" that Trump plays golf or ***** off, Moonie! There's a new Sheriff in town and he's not taking any shit from the Washington establishment. This thing with Vivek and Elon gives me hope. Someone is actually going to try and shrink the bloat in Government. It's so overdue. You're about to hear cries of anguish from all of the people that have been getting paid big money to do next to nothing in Government because their jobs are on the chopping block!

Office space is very expensive in DC and commutes can take hours

Both the government and workers benefit
Have the agencies with a large percentage of worker staying at home canceled contracts to lease office space? Do you have any evidence of them doing that?

What about the offices of the stay at homes? Are they still being air condition, heated, and otherwise maintained? If not give your evidence of that.

Do you have a point about federal workers being no more useless at home than they are at the office. But for the typical $40-$60,000 per year, American, having those overpaid and pampered employees at least show up to work, makes it slightly more palatable.

Before you ask, yes, the federal government should take into account the feelings of the taxpayers.

What does this have to do with 42000 people being able to not go to work?

We are paying a lot of money for buildings that are going unused. Heating and cooling, among other things, plus some employees being paid for travel expenses, and other bits and bobs.

The private sector has to show up each day for a lot less than what government employees make, i think they need to show up. Private sector incurs more expense because of that as well
Fire 'em all. Bureaucrats do nothing.

When have they ever?

? They get a pay raise every year. Usually 2%

Average pay is 106k. If that includes benefits, it still means they've kept up with median income. But they come out ahead because the insurance is usually better, their retirement is good, their vacation is excellent and their job security is second to none.

They can go to work at the office each day, or reduce their pay by about 20k a year

Why not try USAJobs.gov? That is where you apply for all government positions.
Does that site list the average federal employee salary? I'd prefer to not have to comb through all their jobs and try and find averages when there are other websites that do that for you.

in other words, the demofks are undermining democracy as normal.

Just various website. They may not be accurate, ot doesn't change anything. There's no reason for them to stay at home when the rest of the working world has to GO to work.

And, regardless of their pay, federal employees enjoy a lot of other benefits that provide sector workers don't get. All at taxpayers expense

Well, first, make them show up. Second, isn't here are redundancies, then reassign them or let them go. Government is the only place where you can have too many people for the job at hand, and everyone gets to keep their job.

Private sector doesn't work like that. It's inefficient.
