They have been "investigating" Trump since 2016 and have yet to turn up a thing. 1/6 was already investigated and documented out the wazoo ad nauseum for the 2nd impeachment trial, where house managers spent days and days detailing every possible lie they could dream up except the one that really counted: that it all happened because of their illegal and immoral crooked fraud election.

The election is the only thing on this planet the democrats don't want to take a closer look at.

Biden is staying completely out of this, as well he should. He has a huge job cleaning up the mess Trump left behind, re-staffing and rebuilding the federal government departments which Trump decimated or demoralized - like the State Department.

Part of the recent problems for the USA in the recent Hamas/Irsael confrontation is that Trump didn't appoint an Ambassador to Israel, and the Embassy in Jerusalem was closed. Secretary Blinken had to fly to Israel and meet with the parties, and there was no US presence in Jerusalem at all.

Unless something is done make those responsible for the January attack pay for their deeds...it IS going to happen again...and worse. The repubs don't want the truth to be known by the public. They know it will make them all look complicity. Someone needs to make the guilty pay.

There will be investigations.

Only they won't be bipartisan made up of people who aren't politicians with everyone having the same power.

Which is what the commission was. The republicans didn't want that.

The republicans want an investigation done by democrats with republicans having no power to do anything.

I do have a choice, I’ll go with the “blue ribbon committee “ on Jan 6th that’s already on the case, commonly known as the FBI. I’m fairly certain it’s the same one that Biden is going to go with, after all rumor has it they’re PROFESSIONAL investigators not political hacks.

Now that Comey isn't in there, people might actually believe the findings of an FBI investigation, Foxy! Before? Not so much... The FBI has done serious damage to it's reputation BECAUSE it was being run by people that were political hacks!

You're right, the Comey, et, al... incident(s) was a circus that did do damage to the FBI's reputation. However, I strongly suspect that the FBI still has MUCH more credibility with the American Public than Congress or any group of political hacks the President could assemble in a "blue ribbon" time, money & effort wasting committee when it comes to performing a thorough, objective investigation.

When US cities are under attack due to civil unrest, Congress has a significant stake in protecting cities along with State and Local authorities. In 2020, many civil unrest took place in cities throughout the US. You can say all you want that Congress’s hands are absolved from those events but I am willing to bet the small business owner victims of looting and burning and the innocent drivers who got pulled out of their car and beaten would all disagree with you. Further, these people didn’t see see that on 1/6. What Congressmen’s livelihood was ever at risk? Was anyone going to wake up without a paycheck the next day or means to earn a living? Did a Congressman get beaten and left for dead because he/she was walking down the hallway at the wrong time like a driver who makes a wrong turn during an ANTIFA protest?

Order was easily restored by nightfall of 1/6 and funding and policy are easily in place to prevent this from happening again at the US Capitol. Meanwhile, Democrat Congressional members deny there is a problem with urban violence caused by people wit ties to BLM and ANTIFA.

Again, the small business owner in a city or the driver or family member who got beaten in their car by an ANTIFA or BLM mob are not going to care that much about a bullshit congressional hearing on a security matter that’s easily corrected by the same Congressional members who deny or overlook that BLM and ANTIFA take part in civil unrest.
