It's kinda funny (ironic, not ha-ha) that so many of those people who are anti-capitalism don't seem to realize that all of the benefits of capitalism that they take for granted would disappear or be diminished if this country were to change to a more socialist economy. Who's going to innovate, where will the incentive come from to create new things, particularly in medicine and healthcare if there's no profit motive? Who's going to bust ass to get ahead if they get paid the same as a person who just goes through the motions? Why work hard if there's no reward?
Okay, so you don't like capitalism. What are you going to replace it with? How will things be any better if human beings are in charge of whatever the new economy is based on? Do you really think fraud, waste, and abuse will disappear? For sure those things will be reduced because we won't have nearly as much economic growth, so less money means less opportunity to lie, cheat, and steal your way to wealth.
IMHO, the real problem with capitalism isn't the economic model, it's the gov't that is supposed to manage the economy to be as fair and honest and transparent as possible. That's not a reason to ditch capitalism, that's a reason to ditch the gov't, or at least change the people who are running it and change some of the most egregious laws and regs that do not prevent or reduce illegal or immoral activities.
