No, I'm all for taxing the wealthy, exactly what the tax code says they are supposed to be taxed. What I'm not too fond of is the lefts ide that "since they have all this money, it's OK to tax it away". By what right does the left get to decide that rich people don't deserve to keep their money? By what right does the left get to decide that they can take money from those people, above normal taxation, and give it to other people?

I'm not rich, so I don't know what Wealthy people think, but I would bet they probably don't think what you said. I bet most of them support everyone getting an education, but, probably don't support you taking money out of their pockets to pay for it.

By the way, I would bet that most of those rich people contribute to scholarship funds, and give generously to charities, many wealthy people do.

Also, why do you think it's just "republicans with money"? There are many wealthy leftists out there as well, and they take the same tax loopholes that repubs do, and they all share the same sentiment of "keep your hands off my money". I don't think someone being a rich republican makes them any less generous that a rich Democrat.

And you get your free education k-12, what your taxes paid for. Not everyone can go to college. Some people have to join the work force right out of high school, some kids don't have parents who can help them out financially while they go to college. Some kids are just not mentally equipped to go to college. Are you suggesting that we simply pay for the privileged ones who have the right circumstance to go to college, while the less fortunate get nothing?

It doesn't have to. People can join the military and use the college benefits. There is no law that states you have to go to college right from high school. You can live at home, get a full time job, save every nickle and dime, and go to college a few years later. You can work part-time while going to continue the funds coming in, and get a full-time job when school is out for the summer.
