They Said Biden Wouldn’t Come for Our Guns. The Plan Says Otherwise.

So having fewer deaths from guns is not a goal. Having no deaths through confiscation is the only option? Americans disagree.
Sure it's a goal. A vague rosy notion of goodness. You keep telling me what American believe. If it's such a slam dunk, write an amendment. But I think we both know it's not a slam dunk. Right?

And you know that how?
Because it's not enforceable. Because lack of registration isn't the cause of gun violence and gun deaths. Because there are over 300 million firearms in America. Because it's a bad idea to have a registry list that can be used against peaceable law abiding citizens. Because it won't move the needle at all and isn't needed. Pick one.

tell that to someone who put a round into a home invader ..
It's always better to have the ability to defend one's self and not need it than it is to not have the ability to defend one's self and need it.

I think I see the problem... gun control enthusiasts can't make a statistical argument for gun control measures because if they did make that argument, they would be forced to confront the lack of need for gun control measures.

Right. We don't live in a democracy as I'm constantly told by the Right.

Why? Can you back up any of them, besides the number of guns in the US?

But you do live in a Republic whose representatives are democratically elected. If it's such a slam dunk as you keep trying to tell me then it should be easy to write that amendment. So maybe you are wrong about what Americans want.

Want to start with there is no need for registration? Or maybe registration won't move the needle? Because I've yet to hear you tell me how many lives registration will save.

Our political system is currently skewed Red (Wyoming has as many Senators as California) so it is not what Americans want it is what the 'States' want. How many of our recent Presidents were elected by a minority of voters?

Not a clue. Maybe we could look at other countries with stricter gun control? Spoiler, their numbers are way smaller than ours.

No idea but it is simple to find out.
If you believe that then you are without excuse for not starting your argument with that. It's up to you to make your case, which you have failed to do so far.

Great, then make that argument because I'm not seeing the problem. Just make sure it's an apples to apples comparison. Because after all... all you are wanting is registration, right?
