Supposedly the really good stuff is Jeni's. At least that is what Nancy Pelosi says, and if there is one thing democrats know, it is good ice cream. If no one has mentioned it, a favorite of mine is actually coffee ice cream. Same with yogurt.

It isn't the flavor but the quality. Most any flavor is killer if the best ingredients are used. There are tons out there from Cherry and Strawberry, to Rocky Boad, Banana and Mint Chocolate Chip.

When I was sixteen I worked at the local city dairy. The made their own.

In college I managed another Ice Cream shop, that likewise made their own.



Ice Cream really is like beer, the best is made locally. If you have that, then yeah, most of it will be good product.

I'm with lg325 on this one. A little hole in the wall place in Madrid NM used to sell the very best all natural peach ice cream. I used to go through there often when working and on my way home would stop and get a double decker ice cream cone.

That place is long gone now but my mouth still waters thinking about that wonderful flavor.

It's probably not around but Baskin Robbins used to have something like chocolate fudge chunk when I was a kid.

Also, pistachio in ice cream sounds kind of weird, wouldn't the nuts get all soggy?

My favorite flavors are cappuccino (has to have chocolate flakes in it), and Canadian maple walnut. These ice creams are the reason why I refuse to leave Canada.

A local place makes fresh Heath/Coffee Swirl custard. Damn it's good.

That place does not make anything that's bad and the staff is excellent.
