The officers had such good tactical communications that clips from that show are still used to train police officers today. 50 years later.

Reed and Malloy (well, the writers anyway) had a perfect combination of empathy and authority that sets the bar for every police officer.

They are fun to watch, especially dealing with stupid nuisance calls.

We get an hour a day M-F starting at 4:00. Still good.

I remember Martin Milner, he was on the vintage show "Route 66" ( Route 66 is an American adventure crime drama television that premiered on CBS on October 7, 1960, and ran until March 20, 1964)
He is the one in all black....I liked him a lot
