He was facing a 12 year prison sentence, but thanks to Gavin Newsom’s California being run by leftwing lunatics, he gets to walk free.

Nicholas Gutierrez, a 25-year-old from Diamond Bar, pleaded guilty to one felony count of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence and nine felony counts of reckless driving on a highway causing a specified injury. The plea deal includes an eight-year suspended sentence, which means he will be placed on probation for the maximum term of five years, under strict conditions set by the court. If he violates any of those conditions, the court will be obligated to impose the full eight-year prison term. The incident occurred on November 16, 2022, during a training run for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy Class 464, where Gutierrez, who was driving southbound on Mills Avenue, crossed into the northbound lanes and crashed into the group, resulting in the death of Alejandro Martinez-Inzunza and causing severe injuries to several other recruits. Investigators determined there was no evidence that Gutierrez caused the crash intentionally.
