New Mexico just signed tuition free college into law, one of the poorest states in the nation, why can't everyone else do this?

Ok, who is going to pay for this then?
And what's the quality of the education you're going to get in a free school?

Athletic revenue is separate from other revenue and it goes right back into spending on athletics especially women's sports and other money losing sports. You'd figure that Ohio State, LSU, Florida State, etc... make so much money on football alone that those states could provide free tuition. Instead tuition, fees, costs, etc... just continue to rise.
You write like a Marine! How pays for the "free" public education for k-12?

What they make they spend it. They field 36 varsity teams. Purdue, in the same conference, has 18 varsity teams. So Ohio State doesn't make a dime off of the football team? Sort of makes you wonder why they have one.
