Ben Carson Says Muslims Should Be Disqualified From Presidency

Oh bloody hell- he might as well have said it. I said that's what he THINKS. Just like he THINKS women can't make rational 'educated' decisions about their own bodies...just like he THINKS prison life turns people gay.... just like he THINKS Obamacare is as bad as slavery was... just like he THINKS that the US has turned into Nazi Germany. :cuckoo:

So why is it out of the realm that he actually believes that Muslims aren't fit for position of POTUS ?
That's not what he said.

He said he would not support a Muslim for President, because he doesn't feel that Islam is consistent with the Constitution.

It's impossible to discuss this if you keep misrepresenting what he actually said.
.

Then he should have said ' I personally believe....' but he didn't. He went right up to the edge of that cliff but didn't jump off. Christianity, & Judaism isn't consistent with a secular Constitution either. Do you think the religion of the current POTUS should have ever been raised over the past 7 years?
If he indeed went up to the edge of the cliff, the Democrats tried to push him off. And they're doing so in a very dishonest way, constantly and voluntarily misrepresenting what he said. As we see on this thread.

And to answer your question, I think this "Obama is a Muslim" stuff is ridiculous.

I'm consistent.
.

I'm not a Democrat.
I didn't say that you were.

I said "they".
.

I thought you were also including me in that statement.

In other words, it's plain common sense. Muslims view America as the enemy.

Was Carson talking about Muslims that live in the ME? FYI, Muslims that live in America are American citizens.......and unless you can provide some facts (and not some fabricated myth from Briebart NN source) proving that every Muslim views America as the enemy, you are full of corn flakes.

Muslims have been in America for as long as any other religion.

Jefferson kept a Koran and the Prophet Mohammad is on the Frieze in the Supreme Court.

What utter crap. Jefferson red the Quran for the same reason that liberal professors read Mein Kampf. He wasn't because he thought it contained any wisdom. He wanted to know what made his enemy tic.

There were probably 5 Muslims in this country when the Constitution was ratified. They probably all worked on whaling vessels.

And what was the reason for Jefferson to take out some of Jesus' sayings in the Bible? Without the miracles and declarations of his divinity, Jesus would be just a regular man....why would Jefferson want to do that if he believed?

What follows is, for the first time online, the complete Jefferson Bible--plus links to many of his key deletions. You'll see that Jefferson cut out miracles and signs or declarations of Jesus' divinity.
The Jefferson Bible (The Life & Morals of Jesus of Nazareth)

Is Carson aware that many black slaves brought from Africa in chains were Muslims? Does he care?

Ben Carson Says Muslims Should Be Disqualified From Presidency
A supporter at a Donald Trump created quite a stir on Thursday when, among other incendiary remarks, he falsely claimed President Obama was a Muslim.

But the comment raises an interesting question: What if it were true? Why should it matter if Obama was a Muslim?

On Meet The Press, Chuck Todd posed that exact question to Ben Carson, the retired neurosurgeon who is closely trailing Trump in the polls. Carson said he would not support a Muslim president and that only candidates with a faith “consistent with the Constitution” should be President.

CHUCK TODD: Let me wrap this up by finally dealing with what’s been going on, Donald Trump, and a deal with a questioner that claimed that the president was Muslim. Let me ask you the question this way. Should a President’s faith matter? Should your faith matter to voters?

BEN CARSON: Well, I guess it depends on what that faith is. If it’s inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter. But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the constitution, no problem.

TODD: So do you believe that Islam is consistent with the constitution?

CARSON: No, I don’t, I do not.

TODD: So you–

CARSON: I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that.

In other words, it's plain common sense. Muslims view America as the enemy. They despise everything American stands for. Only the insane would vote for a Muslim.

As pointed out with Obama being elected twice

52% of the people are stupid

-Geaux

Only a stupid person would look at it that way........actually, it was the ones that voted for Romney that were stupid. There were many conservatives that didn't vote because they didn't want Romney, they weren't the stupid ones either.

Whereas Shariah law will just hang all the gays, like medieval Neanderthal barbarians.

More than a few Christian fundies have said as much. Some have even run for office.

Christianity has shown to be compatible with the U.S. Constitution and democracy in general. Islam has not. This country was established by devout Christians, dufus.

A religion -- any religion -- isn't "compatible" or "incompatible" with the COTUS. They're two different things.

He said Islam isn't compatible with the constitution and he is correct. A vast majority of Americans will agree with that. Maybe some of them are liberal pussies who are afraid of becoming outcasts among their friends, and won't say the obvious.

Islam is a religion.
The Constitution is a legal structure.

They're two different things. The latter is public, the former private.

I don't know or give a flying rat's ass **** what kind of loaded question your fantasy "vast majority" will "agree" with, I'm interested in what makes sense. That's why I correct you -- you don't.

With what is happening in the world today and what has become exposed about Islam, what makes sense is not having a person of Muslim faith running the Oval Office, the highest position in the world. And that's what Ben Carson said. Maybe you would like to see a president spreading Shariah law from the Oval Office, but I will wager that over 90% of Americans agree with Ben Carson, and do not want to see a Muslim as president.

Is Carson aware that many black slaves brought from Africa in chains were Muslims? Does he care?

Are you aware that Islam is inherently racist towards blacks, in fact the word black and slave are one and the same in the Koran, and what white Europeans did to blacks pales in comparison to what Arab Muslims did to black Africans? Not to mention that even today Arabs / Muslims are committing ethnic cleansing and committing barbarism on blacks who are not of the Muslim faith. Look up Boko Haram and many others like them who slaughter blacks for their faith and kidnap 300 girls at a time, convert them to Islam and turn them into slaves.

Carson has a right to his opinion, which is line with what most Americans believe.

That's why Obama had to swear up and down a hundred times that he wasn't a Muslim. And based on his actions during his presidency, the jury is still out on whether he lied about that one as he did many things in 08, like when he said he was against gay marriage.

That is plain stupid and the common way of thinking for most conservatives. If you are born in the United States, your religion shouldn't matter. It only matters to those who want to make this country a theocracy and inject their beliefs into our government. That is why Jefferson so intelligently declared "Separation of church and state" - the President should rely on the Constitution and not their own personal beliefs. Theocracy is how third countries are run.....into the ground.....and conservatives would turn this country into a third world country in a NY second with their religious extremists, radically charismatic and uninformed candidates.

God help us if someone like Huckabee should get elected.....he has his owned skewed version of what the Bible says.

As if that is any different than you HYPOCRITES saying Christians shouldn't be in charge.

How pathetic you don't even recognize your own hypocrisy

Who said a Christian shouldn't be in charge. Obama is President, afterall.

Do you want a believer in Shariah Law. To be president? You have a hard enough time with people you consider RW. Christians. I think that would make you schizophrenic wouldn't it?

They dont believe in our banking system as well. It is Haram for them

The fact that a candidate for POTUS thinks that religion should be a factor whether someone is ALLOWED to run despite what out CONSTITUTION says is disturbing to say the least.
Is that what he said?

Actually he didn't "have to" do that at all. It's nobody's business. Religion is a private matter. Nor, to state the obvious for the oblivious, is there a religion qualification for the POTUS position -- which should end the matter right there all by itself.

Yeah, unfortunately for your wet dream, here in the real world a POTUS cannot "spread Sharia law", "spread Biblical law", "spread Flying Spaghetti Monster law" or anything else. We've got what we call "branches" of government that operate in what we call "checks and balances". Maybe you were out sick that day in fourth grade.

More: Muslim Congressmen Condemn Ben Carson Over Anti-Muslim Comments

Yep, Carson is pandering to the NaziCon fools. They're eating it up. I'm not aware of any Muslims currently running for president, so why would Carson even be bringing this subject up - if he isn't trying to insinuate that President Obama is a Muslim?
