Before becoming pontiff, Pope Leo levied criticism at Trump and Vance

You could have a room temperature IQ. IN Iceland in the winter. But I doubt it’s that high.

You, apparently, don't history much?

Christians literally fought non-stop for the better part of a thousand years....purely about religion!
Never-mind all the power-plays that were masked by using the religious 'bloody flag'.
Suppression of heretics...genocide of heathens..it goes on and on.

Perhaps you might have heard of the Crusades, for example?

English Civil War ring a bell? Suppression of French Huguenots? Suppression of Cathars? Pogroms? Mass murder of Jews--time and time again. Spanish Inquisition?

Wars so long that they were named by their length..100 years war..30 years war...etc.

Christianity was used to justify slavery and aristocratic elitism..I.E. Feudalism.
Perhaps you've heard of the Divine Right of Kings?

Christianity is anything but perfect. Perhaps Christ might have been..but those who have murdered in his name..for over 2,000 years..are anything but~
Still talking about fallible people who did bad things? I'm talking about Jesus' perfect word. Atheism, however, ruins people. It's inherently evil.

What a surprise..the new Pope is not a fan of our Govt.

Pope Leo XIV, who was chosen on Thursday, has a history of criticizing President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance's policies, according to posts on the X account of Robert Prevost, his name before he ascended to be head of the Catholic Church.

In February he reposted an article with the following headline: "JD Vance is wrong: Jesus doesn't ask us to rank our love for others."

In April, when Trump met with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele to discuss using a prison where alleged human rights abuses took place to jail suspected gang members flown from the United States, Prevost reposted a comment that included: "Do you not see the suffering? Is your conscience not disturbed?"
Reuters could not immediately verify who operated the account, which made its first post in 2011. Reuters reached out to the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chiclayo in Peru, where Prevost was based for years, and the Peruvian Embassy to the Holy See to confirm the authenticity of the account, which has the handle @drprevost
and includes posts calling for prayers for the late Pope Francis in his final months.

Pope Leo is expected to follow in the footsteps of Francis, a champion of the poor and of immigrants, who also had his differences with the Trump administration. Vance, who met with Francis at the Vatican the day before he died, played down those differences after the meeting, but they were substantial. Francis had called Trump's immigration policies a disgrace.
Any enlightened person who cares about humanity can't be a fan of Trump by definition. Decent people are ashamed of Trump and MAGA.

Everyone — even shitbags like you — has a right to offer mere opinions, ya shitbag.
Try keep up, Elmo.

No. And nothing I’ve ever written or said suggests otherwise. Also, you imbecile, learn how to spell.

No. It sounds like you making shit up, as usual.
You are one angry dude. Get help.

Has any Pope been a fan of our government?

Angry, angry dude. It does not take much to piss you off.
Stupid stupid libturd. You saying that I’m mad doesn’t make it so.

In reality (a place you dare never visit), I’m actually amused quite heavily by your vapid spews and abject imbecility.

Please post more. 😂

If Leo XVI is anything Leo XIII he will be a reformer.

Dude, you are exuding anger in every post. I know you are trying to hide it but it is not working. Take a couple deep breaths.

The pope never mentioned Vance by name. He "liked" an article which mentioned Vance among a lot of other things. But you leftwingers will lie and say "Former Pope Slams Vance!!" This is the kind of stuff you do, and it's why everyone despises the leftwing media.

Vance or Daneen?

Which “Catholic” rightwing side are you on Saint Mashmont?

Catholic theologian David Deane told the Journal that Deneen's 2023 book "Regime Change" offered a prediction that the second Trump administration would put a torch to traditionally liberal institutions like universities, the media and the nonprofit sector. Deane opined that the ultimate goals of both factions are very different despite Trump managing to corral them under one tent.

But the leftwing media ALWAYS leaves off the first part of the pope's quote where he acknowledges that every country has the right to defend its borders and reject the entry of criminals.
graduate students becoming useful citizens of the world Saint Mashmont are not criminals

The Journal noted that during an appearance at Harvard University, Yarvin expanded on his view that democracy was "bunk" and defended his call for America to have a king unaccountable by law who could be free to impose reforms without Constitutional constraints.
