Well, we all know that Politicians are corrupt, but most of them at least try to hide it.
Not so the German FDP, after forcing a tax cut programm (for the Hotel industry, yes of course, if the Hotels dont get taxcuts they will outsource everything to India !), they now got a "genorous" gift from the Hoteliers going in at 1 Million Euro.
They got another 1 millions Euro from Flick (German equivalent of Rockefeller), and now they have put the Chief Lobbiest of the German Pharma Firms into the Ausschuss (like a comitee or council responsible for a certain area) that is supposed to make Health politics.

The most amusing thing:
When questioned, the FDP claimed "All these gifts are public so we arent corrupt!".

Who are the FDP? I thought the governing coalitons was the CSU-CDU?

And while this is probably a bad thing to put a lobbyiest in charge of the henhouse, it is pretty much what has been going on here for the last year. It is nice the Germans are a bit more open about it.

Gouverment is currently CDU-CSU + FDP.
The CSU is basically a special Bavarian version of the CDU (who are a bit more green and more socially conservative than the normal CDU).
