Ballot boxes are being set on fire. Is it the party who wants drop off ballot boxes or the party who hates drop off ballot boxes?

Well at the time I wrote that not much was known. It was probably one person who did the acts, but it's still very possible (and likely, imo) that he is part of a larger group of activists with a shared cause.

They torched a bunch of police cars in PDX earlier this year, and before that several pieces of heavy equipment owned by the city. They call themselves the "Rachel Corrie's Ghost Brigade".

Pro-Palestinian activists that organize and meet at the local community college. PDX has a long history of this kind of activism, going back to before the WTO business in Seattle.

If they don't catch this guy, it will because he has moved to a different city. "They" also do that a lot.
Just remember "they " is all part of the blame game which solved nothing.

It's generally assumed that the democrat party will lose so do the math.

Yes if they are burning a building down. They aren't allowed to shoot someone for burning what is essentially a mailbox.
It is a federal crime though , punishable by a fine of $250,000 and a 3 year mandatory federal prison sentence. Only worth doing it you're CRAZY!

The LEO's then would have gotten a lot of practice during the riots/insurrections in the cities as you remember. Or choose to change or not remember. In the end, people living in areas where there is more struggle suffered for it while those on TV/entertainers who helped to promote it live royally and still do.

LOL , Thanks again , good way to start off my day !
They left pro Palestinian and free Gaza flyers at the fires.

Are you stupid because you're a democrat or does being a democrat automatically provide a free lobotomy?

What is gained and who gained from promoting riots ?

It's a dem area, moron.
Portland is, Vancouver isn't.

Clark Co. is the considered the second most conservative county in Western WA. With the exception of the County Prosecutor, all the partisan elected officials are republicans.

We had a republican representative in the US House from 2010 until 2022 when the seat was lost to a democrat in an upset.

It's a swing county by most standards, slightly more republican than the national average. Not what you would call "solid red", but fair to say "leans red".

Did you ever ask yourself why the coastal cities on both coasts are usually first with the innovative advancements
And have the best education centers. They have to be very progressive and welcoming to new ideas , situations and people. That is why most of them are Democrats. They want change and the challenges it brings because they also bring all the opportunities. No change = stagnation and death.

Innovative advancements, like dirty needles and shit in the streets?

Yeah, I never would have come up with that idea.

How welcoming and progressive of you.

No stagnation or death involved there.

I have no idea what that has to do with this thread, but cities always spring up where trade routes meet. The coastal cities are where the ports are.

Universities and businesses tend to locate in relatively close proximity to where the people are. There are a number of highly regarded universities and companies that can be found in the Midwest too. Notre Dame, etc.

Your partisan political rationale is just that- partisan political speech. Hell, Portland and Vancouver aren't even coastal cities. They are inland, situated on rivers (Willamette and Columbia).
