Was watching Brett last night and CK was saying when the Bush tax cuts expire again that they would get loads more revenue from the middle class, try 3 trillion, then they would from the top percenters.

If revenue is what they are after they would get more by letting ALL tax cuts expire.

Of course well all know its politics pure and simple.

The recent agreement to end the debt-ceiling impasse will put a cap on federal discretionary spending for the next 10 years and it calls for even more deficit reduction from the so-called Super Congress. And, under current law, the Bush-Obama tax cuts will be expiring at the end of 2012.

True. Only a democrat can yell and scream about 70 billion in tax cuts for the rich and ignore the 1.5 trillion deficit. The ONLY reason democrats want that extra 70 billion is so they can spend it on their backers. Hell, they kicked and screamed for months about cutting spending a measly 38 billion back when we were passing a budget for the 2011 FY, something the Dems refused to do when they had a majority in the House. Still haven't passed one in the Senate, and Obama's 2012 budget was a joke. Defeated 97-0 in the Senate, now that's bad.
