Up on the scaffold
As a dedicated fan of ancient history, I've always been interestedd in this mythical civilisation. Atlantis was first mentioned by Plato in his dialogues Timaeus and Critias (both estimated to be written in 360 BC) as a naval power "lying in front of the Pillars of Hercules". Ever since, historians have debated over the possible location for this powerful and technologically advanced civilisation that supposedly perished as a result of some unknown natural disaster.

I know this isn't a conspiracy, as such, but I'd be genuinely interested on reading your thoughts regarding the possibility that an entire civilisation disappeared from the face of the known world, and ideas on where it was located.

I like to think that it did exist, but am fristrated at Plato's vagueness when implying that a civilisation existed at a time where it could've possibly ruled a vast area of western Europe and Africa.
