Atlanta is burning down, because of another black thug.

He attacked the cops after they gave him a sobriety test and he failed and was being put under arrest and got ahold of the taser.

That's no reason to shoot him fool. Why are police drawing weapons and shooting people over petty bullshit? Police are out of control.
He ATTACKED the cops, what were they supposed to do let him attack cops with no reaction?

He attacked the cops after they gave him a sobriety test and he failed and was being put under arrest and got ahold of the taser.

Couldn't you ask though why did they have to arrest him? Why not just call his family to come and pick him up so that he can get home safely? From what I have been reading and hearing he was not causing any problems leading up to that and was just asleep in a car.
He was drunk or on drugs therefore its a DUI or DWI. He then attacked cops which is a felony

The had his car, which would give them his name and his address. They had no need to chasing him down and shoot him. He wasn't endangering anyone before they attacked him. We don't see what happened before they were scuffling on the ground.

Every time one of these "incidents" involving police happen, the videos show the officers consistently escalating the violence at every turn. At the end, when the victim is killed, the police appear to be angry are totally out of control. Enraged that this guy was giving them a hard time.

Given the emotional climate of the city, state, nation, perhaps the best course of action would have been to let it go. However, if the question is whether the cops were within their rights to escalate; they were....given the information we have at this time according to the GBI.

You do realize that once a perp gets your taser and tasers you he can easily remove your firearm and use it against you, right? He pointed the taser at the cop.

It was a good shoot.

The guy was running away and was NOT going to get the cops firearm. That was in the cop's hand.

If the community wanted law and justice, they would have raised kids that respected law rather than criminals that attack police officers

This has gotten old. I've seen enough protests and riots to last me the rest of my life.

And ALL of it is brought to you by BLM, ANTIFA, George Soros ANARCHISTS and the DEMOCRAT PARTY.

I think that second Civil War is needed. Full blown. Arm up and get it on. The left against the right.

Whats stopping you?
Bring it to my front door and it will start, candyass.

Good to see you're willing to fight the civil war from your LazyBoy recliner. You're a waste.
You don't see shit, candyass. You don't know me or what I will or won't do. You don't know what I've already done.

You want to make some more stupid comments? Yeah, you probably will, because you're a dumbass democrat, talking your ignorant shit from your mommy's basement.

You sound scared.

Feel free to come to Atlanta and go down and tell those protesters what you will do or have done.

Every cop in the country should walk off the job and go on strike. Then we'll see how the governors and mayors react.
I agree, you are lynching your self remaining a cop in a black neighborhood, this poor cop is going to be arrested for no reason

Not sure the shooting was completely justified. The guy was running away and tried to fire the taser over his shoulder. Not much of a threat.

And they had his car and know who he is.

That’s a judgment a lot easier for you to make watching on a video than being there live having it happen to you

I agree. But when a suspect if running away, they are not an eminent threat.

This fool on fox Steve harrigon making it sound like blacks are under attack from cops, unbelievable

Even though he wasn't driving and was apparently sleeping? Doesn't this situation kindof hit on the ongoing topic of how the police should respond to calls? For me personally this is one of those situations where nobody has been harmed and clearly someone needs some help and so why not have the moment lend itself to an act of kindness by the police by helping him get over over the standard, some might say out-dated, method of going straight towards arresting?
So he wakes up drunk and drives home and kills a family of 5? Seriously

Well no, I said that the cops could have helped him get home.
And they could have sat there and had drinks with him

He turned around and shot it at the cops, what if it hit him in the face? He could have disarmed the cop took his weapon

The suspect fired the taser before the officer drew his weapon. The taser was no longer a threat. He was not going to disarm the cop. He was going to run away. He could have been arrested later. They had his car and knew who he was.

Possibly, or maybe buy him a meal at Wendy's. Help xhange the current narrative about police officers one citizen at a time. I'm not saying it would have worked, but a man who was sleeping in a car at a drive through is now dead.

Maybe the cop thought it was a gun.

The suspect fired the taser before the officer drew his weapon. It is not a semi-auto taser.

So reward him for drinking and driving? Are you trolling?

This is why we need separation from blacks. They can have some land and form their own shithole country and we whites can have ours.

Fuck em. They can enjoy their lawless craphole!

Maybe the cop thought it was a gun.

The cop saw him take the taser from the other officer.

Look, the guy was an idiot and was drunk. But at the point he was running away, he had already fired the taser and he was no longer an eminent threat or a threat to drive drunk. YOu have his car and you know who he is. Arrest him later.

How do you know he saw it? You really going to take the chance he knew he took his gun?

he fell asleep in a fast food drive thru blocking other customers. Police were called, the man fails a field sobriety test, he refuses to be arrested, then starts physically fighting the cops and manages to get one of their tazers, then runs, turns, points it at them. What the fuck do you guys expect cops do today, join hands and sing Kumbaya ?

I'm not sure what all they said to him during the early moments but in my personal opinion they could have let him know that they were there to help him and not to harm him. They could have had him get out of the car and wait inside for a family member to come pick him up while his car was left overnight in the parking lot of the Wendy's. Even if they didn't do that and still did the field sobriety test and the handcuffing once he started to resist and run away they could have let him go since they had his car and could have easily found out where he lives and could have arrested him at another time after he sobered up. I'm just giving alternatives. Alternatives that emphasize de-escalation.

We were not there so we will never know. They could have not shown up at all too, right? There are a thousand "what if's". But the facts are this. He resisted arrest and took a cop's weapon. You don't get to do that.

That is true. However, I would say that once he started to run with the taser the officers could have stopped the pursuit and arrested him at another time. Just my personal opinion.
Just curious but where do they teach those law enforcement procedures? The guy was arrested because he failed a sobriety test. He resisted arrest by refusing to be handcuffed. Then he attacked the officers and took a weapon. Pointed the weapon at one of the officers who had no idea of the type of weapon. Then he ran. 5 offenses in less than a minute. The officers acted on instinct and reflexes. Therefore they were correct and I am sure alcohol won't be the only thing found in his system. Alcohol alone doesn't give someone the sudden brute strength to overpower 2 healthy cops who had him face down. Maybe one of them should have knelt on his neck.

You're right about the procedure. Wrong about trashing the victim at this point.
