If my opinion often parallels a republican, Trump, MAGA, et al., it is only because we both see the issue the same way, and if I seem to support them, it is not spin, it is only because I'm certain their view or actions are right, or at least a lot more valid to critical examination than the Left. But then, since you offer no specifics here other than a single word "spin," as a general derisive, it is pretty hard for me to say much more.

Apparently everything I described in my last post. Do you need me to repeat how the deal is going down? Trump is toning nothing down or giving anything up--- officials in Minneapolis are feeling heat now both from the community, the nation, and has even been excoriated by their own police union captain there who publicly blames Frey and Walz for literally the entire episode mobilizing these frenetic crowds both in word and deed with many public officials caught actually IN on the orchestration.

And now two people have died. This is all coming back on them.

And their own police ain't none too happy about being used as political pawns as they know none of this crap makes them look good and would not have happened had they been allowed to do their jobs of working with ICE to coordinate activity so that ICE could get their people, just get in and out then leave, while they the local police managed the crowd control. ICE is not trained to deal with city street crowds because their job is normally stopping, catching and busting really bad and dangerous people.

Both Frey and Walz deliberately held the police away so they could send their fanatics in unchecked to create a violent confrontation until some media event came out of it democrats could use both for the midterm elections and to keep the looming Somali fraud case off the front page, and it just ended up getting two people killed.

So, here's the deal that apparently none of the lying media are telling you.

Homan has brilliantly gone in there and pulled the rug out of all of this by forcing the city to allow police to do their jobs in exchange for a less pervasive and visible ICE presence. This takes away everything the Left were hoping for, ITMT, it both saves lives and allows ICE to go on with their work with less problems and danger to all. But it is all contingent on the city holding to their side of the deal. If they go back on their word, the deal is off. Bottom line, no names will be crossed off ICE's arrest list--- Trump has only BEGUN catching and booting criminal illegals out of the country back where they came from.

Of course the left will TRY to spin this as some "victory" or success, but they would be saying that anyway no matter what happened as they do that to everything, and only the same gullible, low-information rubes that already believe everything they say will continue to not see through it.

The problems in Minnesota can be solved before midterms without alienating ICE supporters, but not by Noem.

Yeah, you make a good point about other states behaving like MN has.

But, it is ICE's lack of tactical expertise that has allowed MN to act this way in the first place.

One question I haven't seen answered about Pretti's suicide by cop, is what was ICE supposed to be doing? Who were they picking up for deportation? Likely someone that really needed to be gotten rid of.

But instead of arresting that person and processing him or her out, they wind up dealing with the rioters, which just draws more rioters, and now they are amateur crowd controllers instead of professional immigraton and customs enforcers.

Yes, I have no doubt that Homan will manage it better.

You say that like it's a bad thing. We want this plan to fail. Actually, it was never realistic, and was focused on the wrong people, anyway.

Um, the problem here is that some of these problems you can't gloss over. We have the video of ICE/CBP executing Good and Pretti. the usual 'Let's wait for an investigation that won't conclude until things have faded from memory" wasn't going to fly here.

Um, no, guy. The problem is, people are seeing mass deportation in practice is much more problematic than it is in theory. People are repelled by children being used as bait to get their parents, or grandfathers being made to stand naked in the snow.

Homan isn't going to be the guy to fix this because it's unfixable.

The sensible thing to do would be to scale back, only go after actual criminals, until the Repukes are voted out in the midterms (pretty much inevitable no matter which way you go.) Then we can MAYBE talk about the immigration reform that SHOULD have happened 20 years ago.
