Wrong answer racist.
We really need to be serious about how America came to be what it is now. The “go back to where you came from” attitude must end. This country exists because land was stolen. Indigenous Nations were dispossessed of their land by the deception of our government and naked acts of aggression by Europeans who floated over here without the permission of any of the established nations already here.
On May 4, 1493, Pope Alexander VI issued a Papal Bull called “Inter Catera.” This Papal Bull, issued over five hundred years ago, impacts us right now. Inter Cetera states that: any land not inhabited by Christians was available to be “discovered,” claimed, and exploited by Christian rulers and declared that “the Catholic faith and the Christian religion be exalted and be everywhere increased and spread, that the health of souls be cared for and that barbarous nations be overthrown and brought to the faith itself.”
This is what established the Doctrine of Discovery. It was this doctrine that Europeans used to claim land that really did not belong to them. Any land outside of Europe not populated by Christians was considered “terra nullus,” or vacant land. Because these lands were considered vacant according to the Europeans, it meant Europeans had the right to claim discovery of that same land. It did not matter if indigenous people were already living in those lands; the land was considered vacant because, according to the Europeans, they were not Christians and had no rights to that land. This is the beginning of how Europeans refused to accept the sovereignty of other people in this world to live on the lands they occupied, and created the justification for colonization. Europeans trampled on the sovereignty of indigenous nations all over the world, and now today descendants of those same Europeans demand that everyone respects the sovereignty they claim from occupying those same lands based on a false doctrine.
