As a liberal, I welcome Trump's rejection of Stephen Bannon

Even though I disagree with Donald Trump in general, some of his latest actions have been positive as he moves to the left, including rejecting the ultra-rightwing nut Stephen Bannon, as reported widely everywhere:

I despise Bannon and would be glad to see him go, he ruined Breirtbart news and has no business being a part of our running the country. Sadly, Trump messes up even doing the right thing, because he is doing it for the wrongs reasons. He is not getting rid of Bannon because he does not like what Bannon stands for or because Bannon is all the things that people have been saying, but he is getting rid of him because Bannon cannot get along with Trump's kids, and his kids win.
Trump is trying to turn his family into the next political dynasty in this country, and Bannon is getting in the way of that.

Trump's treading on this ice here, again. If he gets rid of Bannon, a significant portion of his base will lose its shit. If he ends up working with Democrats because he can't get the Freedom Caucus to budge, they'll lose whatever shit they still have.

But if he doesn't do the above, his presidency is just going to lay there until 2020.

Oh well. That's what happens when a party splits in two.
