ANAHEIM, Calif., May 25 (Reuters) - Some 100 people staged a boisterous but largely peaceful demonstration outside a Southern California rally by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, at times taunting his supporters before police moved in and arrested eight people.

The activists carried signs such as "Stop Nazi Trump" and "Dump Trump," and beat a pinata made to resemble the presumptive Republican nominee outside a convention center in Anaheim, just a few blocks from Disneyland, before they were driven from the scene by police on horseback.

A spokesman for the Anaheim Police Department said seven adults and one minor were arrested on charges ranging from selling T-shirts without a permit to unlawful assembly.

The arrests came one day after a Trump event in Albuquerque, New Mexico, erupted into chaos after hundreds of protesters tried to swarm the convention center where Trump spoke, knocking down barricades, waving Mexican flags and hurling rocks and bottles at police officers in riot gear. Police responded with smoke bombs and pepper spray.

Albuquerque police said they made arrests both outside and inside the rally, where demonstrators continually interrupted Trump's speech. The police department's Twitter feed said officers were treated for injuries caused by thrown rocks.

In a Twitter post on Wednesday, Trump called the protesters in Albuquerque "thugs who were flying the Mexican flag."

"The rally inside was big and beautiful, but outside, criminals!" he said.

In Anaheim, police warned in advance that they would take "swift" action if protests got out of hand, and the roughly 150 officers and sheriffs deputies on hand may have outnumbered the protesters.

Inside, Trump was interrupted by hecklers as he spoke, including one man who waved a Mexican flag.

"Do not hurt him," Trump said as a man was led out of the arena. "I say that for the television cameras. Even though he is a bad person."

Dem rep tips off illegals on ICE raid; should Sessions prosecute?

A Democrat legislator from Massachusetts tipped off suspected criminal aliens regarding a coming ICE raid. The fact that she did so, and how she did so, can be considered a criminal act. Attorney General Sessions can prosecute. Here is how.

As the Department of Justice Criminal Resource Manual for federal prosecutors apprises, the criminal law "makes it an offense" for anyone to "encourage" an alien to "reside" in the United States, when "knowing" the person's residence "will be in violation of law." "Aiding and abetting" such encouragement or illegal residence is also a federal crime. The law imposes a term of imprisonment up to five years in federal prison.

The statute reads as follows: a person violates 8 USC 1324 when he, "knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation" or "encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law."

One means of committing that crime is tipping off a suspect about a raid. Cases and headlines from around the globe reveal law enforcement officers charged with a crime for tipping off suspects about a potential raid.

After his inauguration, President Trump apprised ICE to focus on raiding locations of especially dangerous illegal aliens. Following Trump's orders, ICE began such raids over the last month. That is when a Democrat legislator decided to take the law into her own hands and add lawless resistance to the so-called "resistance" groups aligned against President Trump enforcing the will of the voters who elected him president.

A Berkeley area butcher shop dubbed, well, The Local Butcher Shop, is being shaken down as we read this. Animal rights activists descended on the local business to demand it display a sign about how killing animals is violent and unjust. If the establishment doesn't comply? Oh, well, protesters will continue to cover themselves in fake blood and lie on the ground outside in an attempt to intimidate and shoo away customers.

Ngoc Loan Tran, another of the vandals, blamed their arrest on "white supremacy."

In the intersectional left, “white supremacy” doesn’t mean Neo-Nazis or the KKK. Instead it’s equivalent to “whiteness”. White supremacy is anything that normalizes whiteness. In essence, it’s white people.

A show with white actors, an ad with white models and a coffee shop full of white people are all forms of white supremacy. A math textbook listing key pioneers in the field who happen to be white is white supremacy. Anything that is not properly diverse is by definition, “white supremacy.”

The color coding was literal. In Phoenix, a Confederate monument was vandalized by painting it white. At a Houston protest, a Black Lives Matter agitator denounced, “whiteness”.

In Baltimore, a statue of Columbus was smashed to fight against a “culture of white supremacy.”

That is what all this is really about. It’s not about the Confederacy. It’s about identity politics racism.

And that’s a hate crime.

The FBI defines a racial hate crime as a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race.” The vandalism of a range of statues from various historical periods has one thing in common. Race. The statues targeted were of white people. The perpetrators had made it very clear that they believed that whiteness was somehow evil.

Under Federal law, a hate crime involving property is committed when the defendant targets “the property that is the object of the crime, because of the actual or perceived race… of any person."
