ICE arrests Palestinian activist who helped lead Columbia University protests, his lawyer says

true---in immigration, visa, green card issues----some
are treated administratively----no court, no judge and
certainly no jury

The real problem is, the promised Judicial was gutted in the Orange Cheetos first 4 and they were never replaced. You can make up all kinds of excuses but those courts need to be included so that the Due Process can become a fact. They deserve a hearing in less than 30 days instead of the years or not at all we have today.

Due process does not require the deportation of a terrorist to presided over by a judge.

Most of the ones on that plane were not even charged as terrorists. In fact, one was a US Citizen. Due Process prevents these mistakes from happening.

"Federal immigration authorities arrested a Palestinian graduate student who played a prominent role in last spring’s anti-Israel protests at Columbia University, according to his attorney.

Mahmoud Khalil was inside his university-owned residence Saturday night near Columbia’s Manhattan campus when several Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents entered the building and took him into custody, his attorney, Amy Greer, told The Associated Press.

Greer said she spoke by phone with one of the ICE agents during the arrest, who said they were acting on State Department orders to revoke Khalil’s student visa. Informed by the attorney that Khalil was in the United States as a permanent resident with a green card, the agent said they were revoking that too, according to the lawyer.

The arrest appeared to be among the first known actions under President Donald Trump’s pledge to deport international students who joined the protests against Israel’s war in Gaza that swept college campuses last spring. His administration has claimed participants forfeited their rights to remain in the country by supporting Hamas, a terror organization."

The fascist Trump regime at its most authoritarian.

The unlawful, unwarranted detention of an immigrant lawfully in the country exercising his First Amendment right to freedom of expression.

And like the fascist thug he is, Trump is attempting to silence dissent and lawful protest.
They should arrest you too.

Or at least, take you out on the front lawn, pull down your drawers and paddle your fat Hiney.

Can they make bubble gum cards for these guys ?

I would like to start colleting them so I can pin them to the wall as they are sent off-shore.

Yep.....and they often don't show up for the hearings. That is what their community of illegals tells them to do.

Then the Judge needs to issue a bench warrant on them and force them to get into the court system. The problem is, we don't have enough Judges and Immigrant Lawyers for the load. And that has been presented to the House and the House turned it down flat. Their Orange Cheeto Mob Boss wants to keep things stirred up.

Uh, no.

The law is pretty clear. You have an immigration hearing and don't show, you are a prime candidate for instant relocation.

Then it's up to the Judge to issue those papers. That's what a bench warrant would be. You get bagged, placed in front of the Judge and HE or She issues the relocation orders.

No judge needed. ICE can detain and deport. Their due process was getting that invitation to a hearing. Don't show up....get a free ticket out.

That's what a bench warrant would be.
Nope

Migrants who lack proper documents and can't prove they have been in the U.S. for more than two years are eligible to be deported under expedited removal, without a court hearing.

Those relocation orders are automatic unless there is a some mitigating circumstance.
