I posted this on a different thread, but really, do this. Take the test. The results will surprise you.

2013 Political Quiz

I took it. I side more with the Green Party by 88%. Answer the questions honestly and use the "How important is this to you?" slider scale to get complete accuracy.

Both suck.

The answers are in the middle.

Pragmatic compromise.

Raise Taxes, cut spending.

I provided my own answers on some of the questions, so I don't know how that affects the results, but here they are:

When I answered the questions the way a person who watches Fox News would answer them, I got this:

When I answered the questions the way a person who watches MSNBC would answer them, I got this:

My results.

91% Republicans

57% Libertarians

17% Democrats

15% Green Party

13% Socialist

Your quiz isn't accurate. It lists me as being more closely aligned with Republicans than libertarians - probably because I'm opposed to granting any kind of legal status to illegal immigrants.

It also claims I'm more closely aligned with Republicans on the issue of healthcare. However, my answers make it clear that I totally reject Obamacare, and I'm not aware that libertarians support Obamacare in any fashion.

They also list environmental issues as something I align with Republicans on. However, again, I don't know any libertarians who believe Global Warming is a problem or that the federal government should regulate greenhouse gases.

Basically, the test is horse manure.

I don't need no test to tell me who I am, a fiscal conservative and social liberal. But I always vote my wallet and that's Republican.

Well I watch AMC, read the NYT, the WSJ, Businessweek and Rolling Stone and I came up Green Party. So there goes that theory.

I doubt that program could actually decipher your written answers, maybe parsed them by giving you a 50% on it. But that's interesting. I think I will retake it and enter my own written answers and see what it gives me .....(flaming, bleeding liberal probably)

OHhh.....This is why I chose not to use the written answer format:

"""Add your own stance (this lowers the accuracy of your results)"""

I am curious to know what this pollster considers the death penalty to be. I am guessing the anti-death penalty position is considered to be a Left wing position. But conservative Catholicism is opposed to the death penalty, so it is wrong to assume someone who is opposed to the death penalty is aligned with the Left.

Myself, I believe the death penalty process is seriously broken right now, regardless of my personal religious convictions.

The question about the 2008 bailot is also too ambiguous. I think people of all political stripes support it, and people of all political stripes oppose it.

I believe these two question skew the results.

Most of the questions are poorly worded.
