This Act was passed in 2005.
Does not matter when.
It is still illegal in a republic, where we are supposed to have privacy.

I've been ID ready since I was 17, almost 60 years ago.
Does not make it right.
ID should not cost anything, and no one should be allowed to track individuals.
Al Queda, and their counterparts love people like you.ID should not cost anything, and no one should be allowed to track individuals.
This type of apathetic attitude is what leads to more and more restrictions, and if you think it's going to stop there, you are woefully naive.
I have a retired military ID.then I'll use my military ID, (Ret)
They last ten years for anyone over 16.Passports are very expensive. They are $165 and only last 5 years.
how long are you going to continue to pull shit out your ass?I have a retired military ID.
Guess what?
Old military IDs are not accepted as REAL ID.
Check with your local RAPIDS office and make an appointment.
I just noticed that a couple threads were already posted on this topic in the last few months. But since Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem just made an announcement yesterday, I figured I'd post a new thread.
I agree with what Thomas Massie, Catherine Austin Fitts and others have said about this. This is about control and it's just another way for our federal government to track legal citizens. Under the guise of immigration reform. But if people don't object, it's not going to stop there. Make no mistake about that.
The group "al Qaeda" was created by the CIA in 1979.Al Queda, and their counterparts love people like you.
I JUST SAID THAT!Are you pulling my leg right now??? lol. Re-read the post you quoted.
Biden's open borders let in 166,000 Chinese, 125,000 Russians, 500,000 convicted criminals, and hundreds of terrorists, including ISIS. Those may be a "5th Column" in the US and democrats are responsible for them.Al Queda, and their counterparts love people like you.
and they just LOVE countries where they don't need official IDs to wander around. The group "al Qaeda" was created by the CIA in 1979.
It means "base camp" in Paston.
It was created because the CIA wanted to force the Mujahideen they created, to accept Saudi Arabs that they otherwise hated.
The reason Osama bin Laden committed those attacks on 9/11 is because the US illegally massacred tens of thousands of Iraqis and Kuwaitis on the "Highway of Death" after they had been guaranteed safe passage back to Iraq.
He committed this retribution on the wrong people, but people in the US were clearly guilty of the worst crimes in Desert Storm.
Saddam had even gotten permission from Ambassador Glaspie before attacking Kuwait for stealing oil.
Desert Storm was entirely criminal.

I don't want to take this thread too off topic, but what many of you don't seem to realize is that these things are done by design. To be used as a pretext for more control, more surveillance, a digital ID, biometric tracking system, etc. It's the same with the "war on terror." These are Trojan horses.
SameI have a real ID drivers license, a passport and a passport card. Short of carrying around a video of me being born with an American flag in the background, I am as ID's up as I can be.
Ok, now it's obv you're pulling my leg. Because I have been agreeing with you on that for the last 3 pages.
As someone else mentioned though, it really doesn't matter that it didn't start with Trump.
By allowing people to be tracked, then the government will know how you vote, your religion, your associations, and anything else they might want to use to decide to harm you or not.
Remember the "Krystal Nacht" in 1938 Germany?
Privacy is essential to any republic.
The fact Trump did not start this does not make it any better.
It is not the "same info".
It is not at all easy to get a copy of my birth certificate any more, since I moved.
And passports are very expensive.
